ZoeyVictoria Posted February 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2018 i just booked a cruise for 9/29/18 and cannot find the area to select a check-in time. Can somebody please tell me when/where I can do that? I don’t usually book this far in advance, so perhaps that is the problem.
coevan Posted February 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2018 I believe after you are paid in full
joepeka Posted February 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2018 As I recall for our upcoming cruise, the option to select a check-in time appeared about 5 months prior to sailing. You don't have to be paid in full.
Jerseygirl1416 Posted February 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2018 On the Carnival site it says you can make an arrival appointment on all cruises which are six months out. You do not have to be paid in full. You can not print your boarding pass until you are paid in full though.
skrufy Posted February 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2018 There is no set time they are initially posted. Our September cruise just had it posted, 6 months out. It will appear in your check in info. You do not need to be paid in full. All based on our Carnival experiences. Keep looking a few times each day. Jerseygirl1416 Posted February 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2018 This is on Carnival.com Q: When can I select my Arrival Appointment online? A: Arrival Appointments can be selected any time after you make a reservation, for sailings within six months of departure and no later than midnight (eastern time) prior to your sailing date. bury me at sea Posted February 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2018 Around 180 days prior to sailing. It is an option that will pop up when you are doing your on-line check in. Has nothing to do with whether you have paid in full.
ZoeyVictoria Posted February 23, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted February 23, 2018 Thanks to all. Looks like I have five weeks or so to wait. Better than the one I booked ten days before sailing when only late times were left :D

Incase I don't catch it the first few days if on or before 180 out...Thx. You should have a pretty good selection of times to pick if you miss the first few days... after the first few weeks I think the earlier times start to get more limited. lcpagejr Posted March 7, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Thanks to all. Looks like I have five weeks or so to wait. Better than the one I booked ten days before sailing when only late times were left :D Based on your cruise history...I would have thought your Platinum?? If so....it really doesn't matter what time you choose because you would have "priority status"
ZoeyVictoria Posted March 7, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Based on your cruise history...I would have thought your Platinum?? If so....it really doesn't matter what time you choose because you would have "priority status" No, I had only 8 Carnival cruises at the end of 2013 when the program changed to number of nights. My SO was Platinum, but he died unexpectedly last year. I am used to his Platinum benefits and hate going back to Gold. This is my last cruise as Gold, I will finally make Platinum on the following one.
