If you save your Platinum wine, will a bartender open it for you later?

Matter of fact you can have the wine with dinner, and let your waiter re-cork it to drink at a different time. So, to answer your question....yes!

re corking is for quitters ;)

How tolerable is that Rose?

 

 

 

Berlinger white Zin is an embarrassment to California winemaking. Nonetheless, it sells to the koolaid set and keeps profits flowing.

BTW, the list shown above is a fairly depressing collection.

If you want an outstanding California rosé, look for estate offerings made from Mendocino and Sonoma Pinot Noir. IMO, the finest example currently available would be from Martin Ray in Santa Rosa. Total Wine does carry some Martin Ray wines. If they've got the Rosé, make sure it's the "estate" one. Figure about $25-30 retail.
