Caribbean Princess Medallion?

The entire previously announced rollout schedule for Ocean Medallion has been pulled while they continue (and continue and continue...) to attempt to fully implement it on one single ship, Regal Princess. If the Caribbean Princess cruise you are booked on, or are planning to book, is designated as an Ocean Medallion sailing you are looking at out of date info from the Carnival Corp original announcement of the rollout which stated that Caribbean, Golden, Island and other ships I may not recall would have ***** by this year. Just forget about it.

Does the Caribbean Princess have the Medallion working yet throughout the ship ? How is it working ? Will all cabins have it? We have an OV cabin .

Thanks in advance .

***** is currently only on the Regal & since the Caribbean was scheduled after the Royal in January 2018, there’s no way to estimate when it’ll be available on the Caribbean.

For our May 2019 cruise on the Royal, we’ve been notified that ***** will not be on that cruise. Some posts indicate they’re hopeful to have the Regal fully operational by December. That’s over a year after adding ***** and my Royal cruise won’t have it 16 months after the scheduled implementation date.

Not even Princess knows how the implementation will go & after over 5 months only a small percentage of Regal cabins have ***** available but are not fully operational. Since the second ship scheduled to have ***** won’t have it until sometime after Spring 2019, the Caribbean would probably be even later.

Thank you! Seems we will not have ***** on our Caribbean Princess January 12, 2019 cruise.

Is that correct?

Unless they change the order of implementation then it’s highly unlikely to be on your cruise on the Caribbean. After over 5 months the Regal is only up to under 10% of cabins having usage of some of the *****’s promoted options.

And as Paul posted, don’t hold your breath because you’ll pass out waiting for ***** to be operational. ;)

This is just a guess it will be working by no later the 2020  . Does anyone else care to guess?

The winner will receive a bottle of that Great Princess Champagne. That the boys make fresh every Tuesday in the boiler room of the ship...;) :D

The Captain of The Rowboat,

Tony
