luvcdays Posted August 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Can you order room service right after embarking? PS-We are in a suite if that marks any difference... Thank you.
momof3cruisers Posted August 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Here you go. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2653255&highlight=Room+service+embarkation Thread from last month. Answer seems to be no. And unless you have FTTF you can't go to your stateroom until after 1:30 even in a suite.
Athankfulheart Posted August 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2018 We almost always order cookies before sail away (while we are unpacking) and I can't remember being turned down once. My vote is call RS and see what happens.

Lottacruises Posted August 18, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 18, 2018 It just seems inconsiderate to do that when they are so busy trying to get the ship turned around. I guess though we've paid our money so why not?

Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted August 18, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 18, 2018 I've called room service immediately upon entering room with FTTF to order distilled water, with no problems Sent from my SM-G930P using Forums mobile app

I guess though we've paid our money so why not? Either the service is available or it isn’t. If it is available, questions of consideration do not come into play. Carnival decides when it is acceptable not up to us individually to make that judgment. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Shaded Lady Posted August 19, 2018 #19 Share Posted August 19, 2018 We sailed on Sensation out of Tampa years ago (15 yrs maybe)? anyway my elderly friend had never cruised and was fascinated by the idea of room service... she called and ordered tea and cookies, just because she could  This was about 2 PM on sailaway and her order was delivered just before muster. I'm not sure if things have changed, but it was possible then. Maybe it was just close enough to the start time that they did it this once. No way of confirming now! **EDIT** just checked my signature and it was on the Inspiration and it was 2008! I guess it's true what they say, the memory is the second thing to go... just wish I could remember what the first thing was!!
Djptcp Posted August 19, 2018 #20 Share Posted August 19, 2018 No room service upon embarkation. Even when we sailed in one of the ship's two penthouse suites, we were told no room service until dinner time.

With women I had always thought it was your visit 12 times a year from your Aunt Flo?
