Avocado Toast

Somewhere I read that the Slice pizza place on the Lido deck of the Ruby Princess serves avocado toast. Lately, avocado toast is one of my favorite things. Have you tried it?  Do you know what hours it is served? I know that most people don't take pictures of avocado toast but do you have one?  😂

I've never heard of it until your post. So I googled it. Yum! 🥑

Well we could just look up the menu on the Princess site for Slice Pizzeria--and there it is:

So far Caribbean, Crown and Ruby Princess have this new Slice menu. No word if any other ships planned yet.

Well this "California Toast" sure sounds way better than what "I believe" the O.P. was referring too.

This past January on Caribbean Princess, I tried the California Toast at Slice.

There were two -- one was the Cali-Avocado and another called Caprese.  I had the Cali-Avocado and it was very good.  Their Stromboli was good as well.

Both require a 3-5 minutes wait after ordering -- worth the short wait!  :classic_tongue: YUM!

Speaking of avocado . . On our Regal TA this past September, we were being escorted to our shared breakfast table when we passed a table for two where the gentleman was eating a whole avocado, sliced in half, placed upside down on a plate.  This item WASN'T on the menu.  Needless to say, that morning and nearly every morning thereafter, either my husband or I would order half of an avocado (a whole is just too much richness).  We enjoyed this treat immensely.  We just sliced it to accompany whatever else we were eating.  I guess we could have put together avocado toast!

Great idea! I find that the kitchen is most accommodating even with the in-room breakfasts. I often will ask for a toasted bagel/cream cheese and sliced tomato, cucumber and ham, maybe cheese, and they always do a terrific job of delivering. Now avocado may be on the list :)

Avocado goes with tortilla chip, not toast.

It goes on toast. That’s how we roll here in CA. 😃

yes, avocado toast was available on the Crown at slice. Be careful. Those calories really add up fast

Great idea!  We can order toast, bacon, boiled egg, and half an avocado... Perfect.

Thank you. It never dawned on me that they would have a menu posted.
