So we went to the MDR tonight at 6:30 for Gala night.  We were first in line at CO and they had a table ready in under 5 minutes.  However, the actual wait for walk-ins did not appear long.  We have not found the ship crowded and often look at each other and wonder where everyone is.

I believe the longest I had to wait as an Anytime diner - was 12 minutes. On lobster tail night.😎

Is Artha still at the level 2 Host desk? Not sure where Club Orange is in the MDR, so you might not see him.

He was a magician for finding our group of 6 - 8 a table in our favorite waiter’s section. He even knew people’s names and would link cabin numbers without me having to provide them.  He really helped to make the cruise special.

Say hello to my mom Susanne and her friend Frank. She's a 70ish woman with short blond hair. Frank has dark hair and a beard. They will most likely be at the Pinnacle or Ocean Bar during happy hour. They will be in the Pinnacle Grill at Breakfast and will be in the casino in the evenings.

Thanks for your response! The menu looked good. How was the atmosphere and the setting? I remember when OC was first introduced and the pictures reminded me of a fish bowl effect with all the glass windows in a corridor and passengers walking by. I wouldn’t mind trying it as long as breakfast was still in PG! Will be on Rotterdam in March and hope PG for breakfast will be there! Jacqui (Kazu) said on her cruise on P’dam and Rotterdam

it wasn’t 😞 so will see!

We looked today but we don’t go until around 9 and didn’t see anyone who resembled your description.  Was busy in the Pinnacle.

**When I ordered my mimosa today I got asked for my card-I said pardon me?  She repeated it and I said they are included.  Guess she was new?!**. So I had 2 today, lol.

My hubby was extra hungry-they got his complicated order perfect though.  And I asked for extra cottage cheese today.

I think basically they keep available a certain amount of tables in the MDR for CO.   As far as I know only the new ships have the “fish bowl”-the rest are in the MDR.  We weren’t at any special table or section.

I forgot to put some photos when I posted the Gala menu.

Escargot doesn’t look appetizing in the photo but it was delicious as was the tenderloin with shrimp.  Hubby had the lamb.  Strawberry romanoff for dessert.

The only two ships that have the separate dining area (fish bowl description) are the Pinnacle class ones - Koningsdam and Nieuw Statendam. All the rest have breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill and dinner in the MDR with CO menus for Neptune Suite and Pinnacle Suite guests. There is no plan to alter any of the other ship designs. CO guests do not eat in the Pinnacle Grill. They simply have a CO breakfast menu in the MDR.

Super photos, the Neptune Suite has a modern look, compared to when we sailed on the Oosterdam.

Will have to check her itineraries for when she  returns"down under".

The shower and shower/tub have not been upgraded but rest of suite is very nice.

I love lamb but they seriously need to rethink their accompaniments.  That cube of green kryptonite doesn’t do it any favors either!

I love their Black Forest Cake.  Yum.

Is the green blob supposed to be mint jelly?

Thanks canadianbear!!

Will be on the Koningsdam 2021 Hawaii/Mexico so I will see the 🐠 🐟 bowl OC! I’m surprised that they didn’t redo the bath 🙄 Like you said as long as the plumbing works LOL👍

I hope you love the Koningsdam-I’ve spent over 40 days on her and loved the ship.  Best caramel lattes ever at the Dutch Cafe!  (Their food is delicious too).

I will have to check that cruise out although I’ve been eyeing up the Hawaii, Tahiti 32 day cruise February 2021-having a tough time persuading hubby though 😳
