Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

We've been very busy lately.  Our daughter and SIL came for a long weekend visit last weekend.  They arrived Friday afternoon and left Monday night on what used to be a cheap Allegiant direct flight.  Not so cheap anymore.  We packed in a lot of activities while they were here.  Our club's Member-Member golf tournament kicked off with a stag dinner last night and golf today, tomorrow, and Saturday.  The tournament includes a lot of great food and drink in addition to golf, closing with a celebration dinner on Saturday night with spouses/partners.  Lots of fun.  Weather here has been perfect.  Sunny in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Does this help?

I was down to my last $20 - actually $17.90 according to the picture - when Heidi replenished my gambling funds. I forgot to take an "after" picture when she was done be "stunned" but it was several hundred dollars. Enough to keep me going thru the night & into the next day until I could redistribute my wealth to other various slot machines.

Adding another Heidi fan @A&L_Ont

Heidi, gotta love her even when you lose to her.

I got Shringrix when I was about 58 and I'm now 64.  From what I've read, there may be a booster as new data comes out as the protection lasts 7-10 years.   I haven't seen anything that says you can't get the vaccine again later.  I reacted to both shots with lethargy and a sore arm.  I felt like I had the flu for 24 hours with each shot.

My arm is a bit sore today but I’m active and about doing things.

I’ll take this discomfort compared to what people with shingles go through.

Shes my favorite too. Shes the only one gives me extra money, twice so far. I love the beer mugs.

I don't have any unanswered questions. But I was just so used to calling her to tell her stuff, almost daily. And I miss that.

I sure know what you mean.  🌹

I was sorry to read this about your dad.  It is difficult when we lose a parent, especially at a young age. Susan’s dad passed away 42 years ago at the age of 53.

Thank you, Mark.🥰

On one of our visits to Krakow Poland we visited Auschwitz Birkenau prisoner of war camps.

Our guide was excellent and we were very moved by the experience.

I remember my mother in law talking about visiting the *** concentration camps. My European cruises were mainly around Italy since that is my heritage and my favorite food . Don’t understand people who have European heritage and have never visited.

My self imposed timeline to finish my book has passed, but it is nearly finalized.  I have reached a point to where I am conflicted about what I should include about a few of the living relatives.  Since the book will be primarily for my kids and grandkids, do I include things about prior marriages and/or children of those relatives?  There are things that are not talked about, and my kids are probably not aware of them.

Thank goodness that neither Susan or I have any deep dark secrets about us.  At least that’s what she claims.

Reading of how you feel conflicted about including info about some of your living relatives...while somewhat different, reminded me of a College English class I took.  The Professor wanted everyone in the class to write a journal about what was going on in their daily lives and to write about their emotions.  Our three daughters were all away at College at this time, and so my journal was mostly about my feelings and worries about them.  There was no way I wished my daughters to read about some of my raw emotions that I had written, so when that class ended, I destroyed the journal.

Too many people are Holocaust deniers including the lead singer of Pink Floyd.

I did one also.  My mom did one a d we couldn’t believe some of the things that happened to her but she wa a child of the Depression.

My mom was also the child of the Depression, as was my dad.  Unbelievable what so many of our parents lived through,  Like Sue's mom, @sgmn my mom was 8 years old when her mom died from TB, and my mom and her 3 younger siblings almost wound up in Mt. Loretta, a home for orphans and children who's single parent couldn't care for them.  My dad also was a young child when he lost his dad.  There were so many hardships for so many of our parents;  but they surely earned the title of "the greatest generation"

Okay.  I tried downloading a picture or two or 3 from my grandson Jack's Prom pictures  I still don't know what I'm doing (obviously).  So..the two duplicate pictures on the top of the page are 3 of our grandsons.  Jack on the left, William in the middle, and Ryan on the right.

The next picture is of Ryan and another friend of both Jack and Ryan.

The next is of Jack and his girlfriend.

The last is the group in front of the Limo.

My mothers father brought her and one of her brothers to the US.He previously brought another daughter .He returned to Poland to be with his wife and other children. For some reason none of them came to the US to live.My father had two siblings who came on their own to the US as my father did when he was 17.Neither his parents or his other siblings ever came either.

You can see in this photo.

Our conservatory is the first building and our Summer house around the corner.

They are both attached to our house.

We can access the conservatory from inside and outside but the summer house ( Garden room) is accessed from outside only.

You have a lovely house and garden Graham.

We have a big garden room/oversized shed with windows and double doors, but Gary uses it for his woodwork, man shed and his multiple cycle bikes.

I would love to have a sunny conservatory but unless we win big on our premium bonds it will stay a wish

Wow what a story.  Amazing what many of our ancestors have gone through in their lives and come out the other end great people.

My daughter did some research recently and found my great grandfather was a pirate in the Bahamas with multiple wives, my great grandmother being the last.

Thank you, she was an amazing women.

Wow! Your great grandad was a pirate ☠️ what a great story

All my ancestors are Cornish, and there was a tradition of smuggling in past centuries, so there were probably a few dodgy characters in my past too
