paulgraff Posted November 18, 2020 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2020 Just got a super odd snail mail from CCL asking me to "pick the deal that's perfect for me" but has no dates or destinations.... love CCL we are gold members with about 20 cruises on CCL but they want me to pick a cruise with no dates and no destinations, super odd to me. I've gotten 6 emails from them, every one of them with a list what to pack. And gives me where to download hub app. ..waiting with bated breath for 6 more. Chalk it up to automation.

Only gold with 20 cruises? Wow, that's got to be a record.

evandbob Posted November 19, 2020 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2020 I have one cruise booked with Carnival, and when it was 365 days away, I received and email explaining how cruise manager works, and exhortation to purchase shore excursions, and advice on what to pack. I've been Diamond for many years now, one might think that if Carnival IT would target their emails to their different loyalty levels they might get better reception and response. It wouldn't be that difficult to do.
crzndeb Posted November 19, 2020 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2020 The OP received a letter in his mailbox from USPS, often referred to as snail mail, not emails. I haven’t noticed any mail from Carnival, although I do get other cruise line brochures quite often. That does seem a bit odd to me also. I will be on the lookout.
evandbob Posted November 19, 2020 #8 Share Posted November 19, 2020 Perhaps the snail mail letter was 20 years old and delivered only now after a few delays from our USPS? 2
Rare ColeThornton Posted November 19, 2020 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) It's a weird world right now. Lots of crazy things like this are happening all over. Hang in there. 🙂 Edited November 19, 2020 by ColeThornton
tree.critter Posted November 19, 2020 #10 Share Posted November 19, 2020 Are you sure it was actually from Carnival? Many timeshare resorts use a free cruise as a solicitation to join them for a sales pitch. Have seen these types of post cards multiple times in the past.
