Rare VMax1700 Posted May 31, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2021 Here is the latest update of the Dry Docks, Charters and Groups Onboard file. A considerable number of charters and group sailings organisations have postponed their sailings from 2020 and 2021 until 2022 or later. For that reason the information here may change over the coming weeks and months, depending on the global situation. It is expected that as the situation improves many additional charters and groups will reconfirm their cruising intention, so stay tuned for further updates. Please note that the sailings listed are taken from various sources so it is possible that the itinerary does not coincide with the publish HAL itinerary. As usual, if you have information about groups charters or dry docks then please post here and I will update in the next file. New information since last month is shown in RED. Djptcp Posted May 31, 2021 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2021 Rotterdam VII : 29 January 2022 – 05 February 2022 : Caribbean : Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise. Those dates can't be right as we have had the new Rotterdam booked for a 7-day cruise on January 27-February 6, 2022 for a long time (since sometime in 2020). Cajuntraveler Posted May 31, 2021 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2021 Thanks for the update. This explains why our 11/6/21 cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam out of FLL has disappeared from HALs inventory. The ship has been chartered.

(VMax1700 this is the best thread - wish all lines would have you keep one up for them lol. BTW my DH owned a VMax many years ago - well, that is if your "VMax1700" refers to a Yamaha 😁) Djptcp sorry but you can never say never when it comes to a charter - it's being advertised right now. I hope for your sake you'll be able to move to something you like even more with a little something thrown in for your trouble: https://bluescruise.com/jan-2022-eastern-caribbean/ The only thing I see on the HAL site for the Rotterdam that includes January 27, 2022 now is this sailing: Edited June 1, 2021 by SeaHunt

Taters Posted June 1, 2021 #12 Share Posted June 1, 2021 20 years ago HAL chartered our transatlantic cruise and didn't tell us. We found out here on Cruise Critic. I'm surprised to see that they are still doing this. Luckily we were able to change our booking before we'd booked our flights to Barcelona.🤔

Unfortunately it wouldn't be the first time a ship was chartered subsequent to a booking a cruise. I did a recheck and those dates are showing on the Charter website, also if you check the HAL website, those dates are no longer available to book on Rotterdam. Djptcp Posted June 1, 2021 #14 Share Posted June 1, 2021 Oops, mea culpa. Our Rotterdam cruise is booked for Feb. 27-March 6, 2022, not Jan. 27th. We have a cruise on another cruise line booked for Jan. Sorry for my mistake!
Rare sambamama Posted June 1, 2021 #15 Share Posted June 1, 2021 Well, thanks to this thread, I know my Nov. 6 Nieuw Amsterdam cruise is gone, although who knows when HAL will bother to let us know. What's lousy is its 5 months away, I've booked my airfare, and there are no HAL ships sailing we can be switched to. Cruise number 6 down the tubes! Rare 1025cruise Posted June 5, 2021 #20 Share Posted June 5, 2021 Hey guys, just wanted to add this one to the list, just recently published. July 16-23, 2022 on the Eurodam in Alaska. Leo Laporte's TWIT group. No idea how big it will get, but it will mainly be a bunch of computer geeks. Only things promised at this point are 2 happy hours and 1 Q+A session, so I don't expect there to be much dedicated lounge usage outside of this. Rare sambamama Posted June 9, 2021 #22 Share Posted June 9, 2021 Does anyone know when HAL lets you know your ship was chartered? I am booked on the Nieuw Amsterdam Nov. 6 sailing which is now full chartered for an R and B cruise and HAL still hasn't told us. In fact, they are telling people the cruise is still sailing or that it is a partial charter. There is nothing they can switch us to, and I've booked airfare and hotels. They even switched the itinerary!
