Next Sale? Anyone know?

I don't pay any attention to sales.  If I see a price that meets my expectations for that itinerary and date I book it.  

 

Royal allows price drops before final payment and currently they have a price guarantee after final payment where they provide OBC for price drops.

 

In other words, if a new sale comes along, I get the new sale prices VIA price drops.  Meanwhile, cruises prices tend to go up over time.  That trend is a little wonky right now but I'm protected either way.

Newest Sale: Triple points*

 

 

* If you didn't book under the double points sale, we are now offering triple points. We offer these points just to frustrate some on Cruise Critic, because apparently it was too hard to figure out the meaning of double points. (Good for sailing until 12/31/2024 only valid for bookings after September 30, 2021 and before September 31, 2021)

I suspect we won't see kids sail free for awhile, given the need to recoup so many losses.  Also, the limitations on vaccines for kids could also be playing into the decision to not offer yet.

Unfortunately I haven’t seen the free drinks package for quite some time now. Hopefully it will appear as an offer in the not too distant future.

Those happen closer to the sailing date and are a price reductions to fill the ship. I think the OP is asking about sales on itineraries further out before final payment.

Thanks for that.  This is what I have been waiting for.  Booked a last minute cruise on 10/01 on the Freedom, and was hoping for their on again-off again cruise planner "sale", to be back before sailing.

Hello! The price of my cruise in Oct. has dropped and I’ve already made the final payment. I didn’t know that Royal offers OBC for the difference in cost! How do I go about getting OBC for the difference? Thank you!!

Call the customer service line and say something like "Hello, I've booked a cruise on XXX, my confirmation number is XXX, I was wondering if I could get it at the cheaper price?"  And they will most likely give you OBC for the difference.

There was an unannounced sale for solos at the beginning  of the month.  RCL was pricing doubles as solos.  Was able to reprice and save some $500 on my  January 22 Allure sail.  At first I thought it was an IT faux pas, but others confirmed and it was a wonderful sale to go along with 4X points.

 

Was speaking with a Casino Royale reservations specialist and he was telling me that he noticed that Wednesday's RCL offers lower prices.  True or not, however, I exercised a free interior cabin on 5 nights Navigator and found that a balcony was cheaper than an interior by $14.  Today is Wednesday.

I save a $100 on my Dec 2022 Oasis today and more OBC for another price drop on my Nov Allure.  So overall a great day.  My niece saved $240 on her Jan Oasis.

Looks like the sale has begun for the Cruise Planner sale.  No banners or anything but prices have been lowered on the sailings I have checked.  Plus this sale aded the UDP for a cruise that never had it available to book previously (from when I booked the sailing). 👍🏼

No one will really know, except maybe some TAs will get a sneak peek a day before.  Some years it's been great, some years it's been a bust and I've gotten better deals during other sales.  And totally depends on the ship/sailing too.
