wait time to call Celebrity

Okay, okay, okay....

For 'generous' OBC on my next sailing, I Am more than willing to accept anyone's email with issues they need to speak to X about and make the call for you if it is such a challenge to wait on hold and etc...

I think $25/call is a fair rate, rather I get connected in 10 seconds or five (5) hours....

Results of getting through guaranteed, resolving your issues not... LOL

bon voyage

I will also happily treat you to any AI drink from my premium beverage package as well.

We have a young lady from Celebrity who has handled all our reservations for a few years. We have the toll free number with her direct extension.  She always calls us back and even though she is in Florida, after her hours and on Saturdays. Try to book through one person from Celebrity that will handle all your questions.

  1. Finally connected on Sunday and I am ready to cruise next week.  I truly understand the possible reasons for the long wait times, but it is still very frustrating.  Sorry that you felt that my post was "snarky" Denny01.  Normally, I book through a TA.  I was contacted by the Celebrity to book this cruise.  Thankfully, my questions were answered by a very pleasant and knowledgeable representative.
  2. Bo1953, you made me laugh out loud so thank you for that!!

I'm typing this as I sit on hold for 1 hour 15 minutes.  The most frustrating part is I called this morning (8:30am) to Captains Club as I wanted to book WiFi using my Elite discount.  After 20 min the guy answered said I need to talk to Blue Chip and told me I would be immediately serviced when he transferred me.  40 minutes later I had to hang up as  needed to leave.   They need to get their act together.  Last week the Captain's Club person was able to add Wifi , NO PROBLEM.  Wish I would have thought to do both.

Our Blue Chip sailings were booked pre-all inclusive so we need to add drinks, WiFi, and grats ourselves.   Wish they would let use just buy an AI package.

We upgraded our cabin and have AI now thru blue chip.  It did take 4 hours on the phone to get it done tho.  Ridiculous.
I spent nearly two hours the first time upgrading the cabin and then after I did not receive a full invoice with everything listed on it, I spent over 2 hours on hold again.

My wait time ended up being close to 2 hours.  Blue Chip said I could not be upgraded or get a discount on drink/WiFi/or gratuities.  Bummer.  I did book WiFi using my Elite status which I could have done in 20 minutes on the first call in the morning. IRRITATING!

When you call Celebrity, why don't you just place your phone on speaker and go about your business, working, cooking or whatever, as soon as you hear the agent, grab the phone.

I've often had to do just that when I had to call the airlines. 😉
And the agents usually pick up much faster than their stated hold times.

No rohudd1, I referred to My post as being snarky by saying something you couldn’t do such as using a TA. I’d not think your complaint was unneeded or ‘snarky’, I just like reminding other posters that there are ways around all the hassles we run into.

We are thinking about adding the beverage package even though we are not big drinkers. We are going back and forth as to whether or not we should just purchase the wine package.    Are drinks included while playing in the casino?

My apologies, Den.  You are certainly right about booking with an agent.  Planning another cruise in early 2022.  I will connect with him to book!

Drinks are not included in the casino unless you are a certain level in Celebrity's Blue Chip Casino Club.

It is the obvious way to do it for most of us.  And maybe with a bluetooth ear piece too.  We automatically assume we all have mobile phones when making these calls.  But I'll bet some here have land lines and traditional phones at home.  Some may even still have corded phones!😀  Some people still think bluetooth is what happens after you eat blueberry pie!😀

I turn the crank three times and get connected with Ernestine.  Only Laugh-In fans will get it.

Everyone laughs at the thought of crank phones(Bethlehem, NH till late 60’s), but I grew up with a “crank” and the operator was May. Our number was 120 and grandparents were 75. Were those the good old days?
