I also look forward to your report.  I sail all different kinds of cabins and find almost all reports helpful in different ways. No matter the cabin you're in, your emotion about being on a ship again is wonderful to read.

We were escorted to Luminae. As soon as we started to enter beloved Gede ran up to us as the huge hugs started.  We sailed with Gede in Luminae for 18 nights on the Summit pre Covid. That’s when the tears really started to flow. Russell the maitre’d greeted us warmly.  I think as menu’s were presented Gede mentioned that he did not remember me being a member of the raccoon family.  I cried so much all my eye makeup ran.  Seriously, it was like coming home.  Randy was so kind to tell me about Gede being onboard, about Russell the amazing maitre’d, Anu our retreat host and many other wonderful tips.  All I remember about lunch is my favorite pea soup and eating the lobster out of the roll.  It was so wonderful to be home again.  Stay tuned for the reason why we are not completely unpacked….I need to try and clean up a bit for dinner.  I look like something the cat coughed up after a long night of hunting. You have no idea what it is like unpacking over 1,000 pounds of luggage.  I may not post more until tomorrow as it’s been a long emotional day filled with such joy.

i want a report from someone who is a "common" non-demanding individual...Not everyone including my wife and I who have only sailed on 35 cruises are as demanding and overbearing as this. I just want a report from simple folks that sail in inside/ocean view/balcony cabins and have a broader view of what real life is like aboard the ship. god that felt good to say.

Hear! Hear! You are spot on!  😊

Am I missing a joke here?  I appreciate anyone who takes their time during their vacation to post a live trip report, whether they are on the lowest deck in an inside cabin or in a huge suite on a higher deck.

I totally agree. We’re booked on the Dec 23rd cruise on the Connie and appreciate anyone who doesn’t mind taking the time to share their cruise experiences to help us better prepare for our upcoming cruise. 😎

I’m sorry that you perceive my report as being overbearing and demanding.  Please feel free to unsubscribe or just don’t read it. If it’s not of value based upon feedback that I receive I will happily save my time. I know that I have greatly appreciated many live from posts of the first sailings from the Constellation as well as many other ships.  Perhaps my attempt at humor fell flat.

I’m sure the Buckeye crowd will flame me as they like the simple life, but this is part of the Private verandah for suite 6147.  Good night all.  More tomorrow for those that might enjoy the report.

I am thoroughly enjoying your live report and your sense of humor. I look forward to the rest of your journey. And that verandah is amazing!

I will probably not ever be able to sail in the penthouse suite, but I enjoy hearing what it is like. Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your experiences on the Constellation. I hope you will continue.

After reading several of the comments, I am reminded of the saying “jealousy breeds contempt”. To those not interested, please remember that reading threads is not compulsory.

Seriously folk -   It is a lot of work to post a live report and I enjoy reading all Live reports whether from an inside or in the Penthouse.    I can assure you the OP is a wonderful member of CC and should be respected.

Those posting rude remarks -  Why are you hanging out and reading the report.   Go to a thread that is of interest to you.   Mom always said if yo don't have something nice to say - don't say it.

@goldsmip115 There is a very nice feature in the pull down menu to put people that you find disagreeable on your Ignore List  -  after added you will see NO posts from those individuals.

Please continue your live posts as most of us are having a great time and appreciate your dedication and helpfulness.      I forgot to warn you that you have to have a touch skin here and on social media for people who enjoy being a bully when they are anonymous.

Perhaps you should rename your live report "Live from the Retreat".

It appears your "live" report will soon be of little interest to anyone

sailing in "steerage".

Really curious -  if you feel this way why are you reading and posting your negativity.   I personally respect anyone who takes time from their vacation to report Live - regardless of cabin type.   I've never traveled in "Steerage" so maybe you should be proactive and post live on your next cruise so we can compare how similar our cruise experience really is.

While our rooms and experiences may be different I know most live reports have a wealth of information of all types of activities on the ship.

Sorry!  My 71 year old oops for today. BTW I was very much looking forward to hearing about the embarkation process in Tampa. (Observations at port) and first impression of ship's condition. Especially since the delay in Revolutionizing.  Unfortunately there was nothing.  Yes, I was disappointed.  Having read other's Live Reports, including yours,  my expectations were very different.

As a Solo cruiser and the premium you pay, Concierge class seems to work best for me.  This  is the first Live Report that left me with the impression that it would not be a report that would answer the

questions I have.  Your Live Reports never left me with the feeling it was a "Me, Myself &I" report or

a tool to convey how important you are.   I will practice my curtsy for His Highness!!🙃

@goldsmip115:  Thank you so much for your postings.  I sailed Summit for 10 nights earlier this month and I wondered if Gede from Luminae was onboard any ship.  Thanks so much for posting his location.  Please tell him that Janice and Rita say hello to him.  He is such a great guy and I missed him in Luminae on Summit.

I am grateful for your report. We have a sky suite booked on Connie for February 4th. I’m also a buckeye and like more than the simple things sometimes.

I have an idea…if memory serves me correctly, you have a sailing on Constellation coming up shortly. Perhaps you would be willing to step forward and volunteer to do a Live Report from your experiences on Constellation. This will, then, give you the opportunity to be the author of that report that provides us all with the “broader view of what real life is all about.”

Wow, I had to read this one for a second time just to understand how insensitive it is.

goldsmip115  has so graciously offered her time to provide commentary of her experience in returning to cruising after such a long absence. These live reports, by their very nature, open themselves to questions we may have along the way, and the OPs generally give up part of their vacation time in answering those questions for us.

I’m not sure why throwing water on this sincere gesture was the most appropriate response, as opposed to just asking the question(s) you have.

It seems to me that you had more than one “oops” yesterday.

Good morning from the beautiful Constellation.  I don’t have a great deal of information about the ship….yet.  After being up since 3:45am yesterday it was an early night. I will say that in my nearly 30 years of cruising I have never quite experienced the level of warmth and caring and happiness from every single crew member we encounter.  And this is on top of what I considered to be amazing service on previous Celebrity cruises.  It is truly remarkable.  So that everyone knows, while I am blessed to sail in the top suite, the best part of every Celebrity cruise that I have taken has been the wonderful crew.  While Luminae was superb last night, being with Gede and trying to catch up on where many crew members are was my favorite part of the evening.  I could never measure up to the wonderful food photos that Jim posted so you won’t see as many of those.  I will say that I was thrilled to be reunited with my favorite smoked tomato soup and the lovely Caymus. Luminae is run beautifully under the watchful eye of Russell.  She is a gem. I honestly think I had the best sleep I’ve experienced in the last 2.5 years.  Awake at my usual 5am I had no trouble being lulled back to sleep for another 2 hours. Today will include some ship exploration as well as a long massage.  The hotel manager has requested a 10am meeting with us in the suite. I suspect that this will be where we are informed of the overweight baggage charges.  He is on his way now, so more updates later.
