I do not want to offend anyone who likes Guy's Pig and Anchor. It was terrible.  The live band was bad. Possibly the worst beans I've had in 50 years. Chicken so dry it crumbled. Brisket so salty it was inedible... and I LOVE BRISKET.  My daughter agrees 100%.  So in our judgment,  the three YTD restaurants that are free for dinner are 2 hits and 1 miss. We would gladly eat at Chibang again and Cucina many times!

I do not think I saw that band anywhere.

I saw them the week before you.  Not to be harsh, but perhaps if they had taken the time to actually learn the songs they could have taken their eyes off their tablets and instruments long enough to notice the audience.  It was like a radio playing from a table of teenagers with iPhones.  I have never seen any band have to read music and watch their finger placement on every song.  Even the vocalist was reading, and she is not old enough to need the lyrics to be sure she remembers them.

And the prime rib was ok, the service was not.  I finally chased a waiter down to get some water after asking 3 times.

We liked the food at night in P&A, we ate there twice.  However, I definitely WOULD have been offended if our food looked like that!  Apparently, I didn't take any pictures that night but your food looks nasty - I wouldn't have been happy.

I'm not positive but I think that was the band (or part of it) that we saw there the last night of our cruise.  It looks like the female singer anyway and we were not impressed.  I'm pretty sure they were listed as the Backyard Band in the Hub App but they definitely weren't the same Backyard Band Megan saw the month before.  Did you happen to see their name in the app?

Unfortunately we didn't pay attention to the band's name, as our sole reason for eating there was to complete the Chibang/Cucina/P&A trifecta.  But I do remember seeing that band name on the "What's Happening" (formerly FunTimes).

I acquired a copy of last week’s fun times so I can tell you as of the 21st the band scheduled to play in the P&A was called the backyard band.

Thanks Greg.  So probably just a generic name they use for the band there but the members change.  They were loud and not good in December.  Definitely not Megan's favorite people.

The band we saw back in October, apparently also a mutation of "the Backyard Band," was pretty good and seemed practiced and casual...but they were loud.

I concur.  Lunch at Pig & Anchor (outside) was quite good and consistent with the rest of the fleet, but dinner?   We had mis-plated orders, slow service (we sat over on the picnic tables to get away from the noise), and my friend John's ribs were so overcooked and carbonized they couldn't be speared with a fork.  We didn't have to take a photo; the greeter took a photo so he could shame the chef.

Seems like dinner there needs a lot of work.  OTOH, since you don't make reservations, it doesn't "count against you" for dinner and you can still go somewhere else to get edible food.

Not the same band we saw in October, either.  I'm not sure whose backyard they're raiding for musicians, but it appears the current sailings are getting the second- or third-string folks.  😄

How much is the roller coaster to ride?

We forgot to ride it we were so busy with all the activities.  Last I heard it was $15.

It's 15.00 and it's been reported that you now get two laps.  But, don't put off riding, bad weather and high winds close it down often.

When do you pay what’s owed on your stateroom? Are you able to pay it the day of debarkation at the customer service desk? Thank you.

I assume they refused based on the "dry feet / wet feet" policy.....

To save some the google...

The policy commonly known as “wet-foot/dry-foot” generally refers to an understanding under which Cuban migrants traveling to the United States who are intercepted at sea (“wet foot”) are returned to Cuba or resettled in a third country, while those who make it to U.S. soil (“dry foot”) are able to request parole and, if granted, lawful permanent resident status under the Cuban Adjustment Act.

Not anymore the law was revised in 2017 I believe

Thanks. We're booked on the Jubilee in '23 and I saw there was a charge for it. I guess it will be $25 or $30 by then.

So does "Time Fries" only serve french fries?  Toppings?  Honestly, that's my irresistible bad treat I am addicted to fries and hadn't heard anything about this place...

What about "steam dreams" is that dumplings?  (another favorite of mine) If not, what do they serve...again I hadn't heard anything about this place either LOL....

Time Fries, Steam Dreams and a few of those small places serve a different item - rotates daily.  Sadly, we did not ever get to try any of them.  Someone said Time Fries sometimes does tater tots instead of fries.  A casino buddy said he tried Time Fries and it was frozen fries, not fresh-cut like the storefront would have you believe, and that they were good but not anything special.  So although Time Fries was on our must-do list, we never circled back to try it.
