Princess Players Club

I have started getting emails from Princess Players Club. Are these actually Casino pricing cruise offers?

When I go on, a mock booking, the actual Princess pricing is shown. There is a code given  in my email and says discounted fare on final checkout page.

Before I get to that, asks for a payment , so I stop there and don't go further. I emailed my travel agent and she said when she put in the code, price didn't change.

She is going to call Princess. We aren't heavy gamblers so was surprised to get the emails.

Anyone else starting to get these emails ?

Have you tried clicking on the casino email BOOK NOW for the cruises available?

That may take you to a Princess Cruises site that lists in white letting in a black header

Cruise Search        Search Cruisetours      Casino Deals     Recently Viewed

Under the Casino Deals heading

Once you choose a cabin on a cruise

You may see casino code applied

as in the example below

🤞

Summary

Deal
Guest 1$ 212
Guest 2$ 212
Cruise Total$ 424
Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses$ 230
 CASINO code applied

Our offers are always for free staterooms with free play and Princess Plus. We have never been able to do them on line always needed to call. In fact for our one in November the casino agent sound $250 free play for me in addition to my wife’s $1,000

I was able to book our B2B this summer via an emailed casino offer by clicking "Book Now"--although once I logged into the Princess site, I was still given the casino rate even if I didn't click thru the email. They seemed to be in my account.

Still strange...have not sailed Princess in 10 years. We do have 2 other Princess cruises booked for fall already...guess we popped back up on their radar.

Yes.  There is a difference between getting the casino discount and getting offered a free cruise.  They need to be booked differently.

Yes I those emails.  You have to call Princess and good luck if they answer within 2 hours.

So for the players club offers, you could call Princess or your CVP would know how to book it?

Are they strictly for the cruises shown?
I had a choice of 4 or 5 areas of the world.

Mine are for fully comped voyages instead of discounted, but they tend to be fairly clear about if they're valid for specific voyages, or for any voyage (meeting fine print requirements, like <14d, NOT Asia/Australia, etc.).

If you're looking at the emails, there's often a 'See voyages' button, or something like that, that shows the valid routes... Sometimes things are buggy and they show a cruise as valid when it isn't though, based on my last attempt at booking. (Never happened pre-C though...)

Gloria would also love to know the answer you get.   Also received the offer an I'm by no means the gambler.    Maybe $50.00.  🙃 Joe

I got the emails as well and am not a heavy gambler. However, on our last cruise I put a bunch of OBC into the slots. I went to the casino to cash out on the last night of the cruise and was very surprised to find the casino closed. I always cash out the last night of the cruise. This time our last port had been Victoria and it seems the rest of the way to Vancouver is too close to Washington waters? (That's what I was told.) They said that I "should receive a check in 4 weeks or so". I certainly hope so as I had $750 in the dang account. (I will never wait until the last night again even though this supposedly only happens if your last port was Victoria and you disembark in Vancouver. From now on I'll cash out well in advance of the end of the cruise.)

For Free cruises…

If you have issues getting through send an email with all the details  to

casinoinquiry@princesscruises.com

This just helps you secure the booking  in case it’s close to expiring. You still need to connect with the casino dept but it at least creates the booking for you.

We sailed the Majestic lately and many many announcements in the casino about the casino about closing times after porting in Victoria. All Canadian waters Victoria to Vancouver

We get the offers that are for my mom as I look after her account and bookings etc. she had a bunch of offers recently and I really don’t think she drops much in the casino but likes to play a little bit. She hasn’t been on a cruise source 2015. I was tempted to go spend a few dollars in the casino myself on the cruise we just did as some of the offers would have us scrambling to do the cruise! One we have been considering was $699 for her in an inside and $1699 for us. Her offers have always been discounted inside cabins. All other categories are the same price I see for myself.

@Thrak having done many cruises to/from Vancouver it is normal to have the casino closed all the way in and past or from Victoria to Vancouver. The shipping channel is close to shore all the way with the line dividing traffic being the Canada US border. One direction travels on the Canadian side and the other direction on the US side.

We were in port in Victoria all day. Perhaps they announced it while a lot of the passengers were ashore. We definitely never heard any announcements and we always stop to listen to them. If we are in the cabin we open the door to hear what's being said.

Having never sailed out of Vancouver before we had no clue. If the boarding process in Vancouver is normally like what we had I doubt we will sail out of Vancouver again. I just have to chalk it up to a "learning experience" and hope they send the money.

Gamblers hear those announcements more often, as its usually announced

often In The Casino towards end of cruise.

If your due more than $25?  They will send you a check.

I always cash out a day or two ahead.  And then if I want to play anymore?

I use cash, so I don't have to visit the very busy cashier on the last day.

Of course if I hit something big?  Then I wait in line to cash out.

Had my travel agent call Princess because the casino rate didn't show up when she tried it. Turns out if other sales or pricing are lower than the casino rate, the travel agent only sees the other rate not the casino rate. When she spoke to Princess they did a mock booking on a cruise I already had and my sale rate was lower than the casino offer. The players club rate is only offered on the selected cruises shown in the email.I guess maybe some of those rates can be lower than the other sales. The cruises also were for pretty much last minute deals.I think the gamblers that spend more time in the casino get a better rate and not the ones from the Players Club.My last offer was in early May.

The perk after the sometimes slow customs and security line at a Vancouver is that you don’t have to go through customs upon arrival at your first Alaska port which could also cause some delays and possible missed excursions etc. But yes it usually seems to be a bit of a lineup unfortunately.

This DID NOT work for me a couple of months ago.  Sent the email, time-stamped before expiration of offer and heard nothing.  Called and she said, "sorry expired". Ugh, she put me through to customer service.  She said forward me your email.  Then crickets.  After months, and resending the email a couple of times, I just sent an email saying just disregard.  We've decided on using another offer to book a different one.  Really weird.
