Just back from Cruise Next…all solo rates….$1,800 for a Club Balcony…don’t know if I can stay in my current cabin but crew would take care of moving my luggage if I get a different cabin.

$1,400 for a regular Balcony.

Only one Cruise Next voucher can be used.  So, they’ll match my $250 purchase of one cert.

If I go through my TA, she’ll give me a $75 discount on the fare, and allow me to use my AMEX TO BOOK, which would give me $200 OBC and dinner at LeBistro+bottle of wine.

Latitudes gives me another $75 in OBC.

Can’t use Stockholder OBC since booking date is so close.

  TOTALS…

Club Balcony-$1,800 less $250 cert, less $75 TA discount=$1,475.

Plus $275 OBC/dinner/wine

Balcony-$1,400 less $250 cert, less $50 TA discount=$1,100

And, I get AMEX OBC of $100/dinner/wine and $25 Latitudes OBC.

Both include drinks/specialty dinners (not sure how many for a 2 week cruise), Excursion credits and some internet (not sure how much for a 2 week cruise)

This is for a 2 week repo cruise to New Orleans from NYC!

Waiting to hear back from DRs office for meds and where to get them.  Also waiting to hear from dog sitter.

Checking on flight changes…

It doesn’t help the @JamieLogical and @mking8288 are acting as my enablers…LOL!

I would do the balcony and then spend the extra money for the spa pass.

INCREDIBLE deal for a 2 week cruise in a balcony with all the perks!

(BTW they are giving you a much better deal than I can pull up on line...I see $1750 for a balcony w/ perks online)

I agree with @JamieLogical--go with the regular balcony.

Jealous!

Hey...can you email me at kkbunde @ gmail.com sometime?

I've got a couple questions...

Just finished having cocktails with @JamieLogical and a few other solos.

Not going to be able to make the repo cruise work…want to thank everyone here for offering help, advice and encouragement.  Y’all are great.

Had a great day!!!!

Weather this entire week has been fantastic.  Today was sunny and mid 60s…just perfect.

Did “Hop on-Hop off” bus.  it was a perfect “explore on your own” excursion.  Also took the ferry back and forth across the bay.

This park was just wonderful.  No bikes, no skates/boards, no smoking.  Just walking paths…

No problem!  Is it time critical?  Or, can it wait until I return next week?

Dan - oh well, next time.  Enjoy tomorrow's full sea day - excellent weather ahead here in NY, dense fog expected in the morning (again, like today) but warm for this time of the year.

Watching ship's track on marinetraffic, she's still hugging very close to the shoreline - should still be pulling in a decent land (cellular) signal as you go past Duncans Cove.  Ship captain must be in a hurry to bring her home to NY, they can slow it down - anyone in a hurry to disembark on a NYC Marathon Sunday.  Forecast - ETA: 2022-11-06 02:30 LT (UTC -4)

That's super early.

Thanks, Henry!

Too many moving parts, and I could not get ANY of them to align. Maybe if I had more time (famous last words).

Looks like my free internet minutes will carry me through as a result of all the pots and having signal much of the time.  Whenever I HAD TO USE ship WiFi, it has not been great, but not that bad, either.

I bought 101 shares so I can get my OBC - are there some rules?

Yes….look at the Ts and Cs with NCL.  One is a time frame requirement to claim the OBC.  Off the top of my head, I do not recall it.  It has been a great investment for me so far.

Looking good.  I live in Milford and go to skyline and Graeters all the time.  Have fun on your cruise.  My wife and I just returned from Princess cruise to NE and Canada.  We left from Red Hook Brooklyn terminal.  Cheers

You can always book next year's journey from NYC to New Orleans.  If you have never been to New Orleans, add at least two to see the city.

Thank yoou for sharing this adventure.

Have a safe journey home.

Oh, I’ve been to N’awlins a lot.  Have sailed out of it a few times (mostly Carnival) Love the city!
