Have friends on the Oasis right now and so far they have not decorated.  She also said it was reported some of the crew was sick so they are short handed in several areas…..

An independent company decorates the ship, not the crew. At least that is the way it used to be.

With budget cuts I think they now have passengers due it.  And they passengers pay extra for the privilege.   Just like paying extra to go make cupcakes or walk through the galley (kitchen).  It’s a brilliant revenue generation strategy.

Oasis had no Christmas decorations when we boarded on Sunday, Nov 27th.  2 days later the poinsettias appeared.  Then on Wednesday they started putting up the tree in the Promenade deck along with a few other decorations. Thursday they started putting up the large lighted balls that hang from the Promenade ceiling. Overnight Saturday night, the gingerbread village was set up next to the Starbucks kiosk.  By the time we were leaving the ship on Sunday morning, Dec 4th. the ship was decorated.
