zitsky Posted April 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2023 I note they say to fold. I don’t see why. I miss getting tags in the mail.
CulverCityCruisers Posted April 19, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2023 I fold and then use clear packing tape on them to make them stronger, then staple. NEVER had one rip or come off

tscoffey Posted April 19, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2023 Fold. The classic “Paper Crane” is the most effective.

I also use the large holders that work for multiple cruise lines, as the Celebrity-specific ones are too small.

Rare prmssk Posted April 19, 2023 #14 Share Posted April 19, 2023 Whether to fold or cut all depends on whether you would like your luggage to actually make it to your cabin. The tag will likely tear off if it is only 1 sheet thick (hence the suggestion to fold). We do not have fancy holders. A single piece of packaging tape down the length gives it a little extra sturdiness. Then we whole punch the ends and attach with zip ties. We have a good track record with this method.

cyntil8ing Posted April 19, 2023 #16 Share Posted April 19, 2023 Perfect track record with folding and stapling. No holders, no packing tape, no zip ties. We don’t even write our name. Life on the edge of chaos. 2
Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted April 19, 2023 #17 Share Posted April 19, 2023 Reminds me of those personality tests I learned about in psychology. What your luggage tag habits say about you… Folders: exceedingly organized, rule follower, reliable with deadlines Trimmers: precise, whimsical, a little on the edgy side 1

NEVER had one rip or come off Same. Put in a few extra staples and then wrap with clear packing tape. They are very hard to rip off. I think they are more secure than those that I use to get from the cruise line. When doing it I also think of how many it would take for Monk to get one perfect. BOB999 Posted April 19, 2023 #20 Share Posted April 19, 2023 I fold then bring my own stapler and/or tape. Never had an issue on any cruise line.
neverlaysup Posted April 19, 2023 #21 Share Posted April 19, 2023 I cut them out and then fold in half to insert into my luggage tag holders. It's too bulky to stuff into the plastic sleeves I use if I don't cut the excess paper off.

NEVER had one rip or come off I do the same. I have a hard time tearing them off afterwards. I don’t really trust the plastic tags. They can get hooked on something and rip off.

Rare abbydancer2003 Posted April 19, 2023 #25 Share Posted April 19, 2023 We have holders we got on Amazon. I cut mine to fit, DH folds and stuffs it in. I do put two tags on each bag - one on the top handle and one on the side handle. I also save the page as a PDF and put names on before printing.
