You know as a Plat/Diam you can go anytime you want. You don't have to wait until noon.

No, I don't know that. Are you sure, and thanks for posting this!  I thought our advantage was the 2-day early opportunity to choose a time,  not that we can just belly up and get what we want.

I think that's what it was before they brought back priority. Did you still get to pick your check-in time 16 days out?

Yes, the 16-day thing is still happening to my knowledge.  But what about the ability to show up earlier than your time?

Not too many bars but they're spaced well. Watched the guy create this sign from scratch while enjoying 4 whiskies, then suggested he should replace all the euro pricing with $ because the pic is going on cruisecritic.

What does HH mean?  With the Euro at $1.08 US Dollar, it's pretty even.

I don't think you are supposed to arrive earlier than the check-in appointment time printed on your docs. Plus, it's a Journey's cruise where a large portion of the passengers are Platinum/Diamond.

It sounds like you need a PDF editor!

At Port Canaveral this past January, so just a few months ago, that’s how it was. There was the priority line, on time line, and late line. We chose the 11am slot and we were allowed in much earlier in the priority line.

You can double check with John Heald when he returns to work tomorrow. I remember he mentioned that even though we still had to pick a time it really didn't matter for Plat/Diam. You can go when you want.
I was able to find that some people couldn't pick a time and he said "I am hoping you will no longer need a check in time but regardless if you have one or not please just go straight to the priority boarding line when you arrive and don’t worry about anything".
We recently arrived early (before 10 AM) for our Celebration cruise. We were able to walk right in and the Plat/Diam. seating area was already very crowded.

I would think it would be the same in Europe.

Avignon is a preserved walled city. For most of the 14th century,  the Pope lived here instead of the Vatican,  mostly for political reasons as the French King had power and Rome didn't.  The beautiful palace that looks like a cathedral is the papal palace. 7 popes resided here before the papal residence returned to Rome.

All our sons could think in Avignon was "Fetchez la vache!" 🙂

Dinner at "Arlequin" was excellent.  Not quite superb. I saw other things on the menu that looked great, I would eat here if I was in Avignon again.  Which is not likely.  For me, of the four places I've been so far, only Paris and Lyon are worth multiple visits. But I'm glad I saw Dijon and Avignon.

Dinner at Fou De Fafa, #2 rated restaurant in Avignon was wonderful. I don't know how they manage to make olive tapenade work as a sauce for fish, but it was fantastic.  Thanks again TripAdvisor. This was the first French Restaurant with a menu in English on the trip.

I'm following closely and have asked questions about your restaurant choices since my brother and sister in laws are doing a somewhat similar land tour next month so I'm passing on all your great information!
