Seems to me that people will really be competing for reservations. Same number of guests but less time slots to choose. How many times can they run Mamma Mia on a three day cruise along with the other stuff that goes on in the theater as well as not have the theater show times conflict with the Aqua Theater?

 

Allure should be doing 8/6 night cruises.... out of Ft. Lauderdale.

The baseball caps kill me. Not sure why but I don’t think they should be allowed

There are a lot of areas all along the sides of deck 15 that are shaded by deck 16 above with floor to ceiling windows that will allow you to see the ocean.  If you are looking for somewhere quieter, there is also the jogging track on deck 5 that is shaded most of the day.  There are chairs at the stern end of the jogging track.  If you want someplace completely indoors to watch the ocean, that is a bit more limited on Alllure.  There are not many public rooms with ocean views except the windjammer. 

Thanks, I was hoping for indoors but the windjammer isn't the relaxing vibe I was going for so I'll check out the shady spots you mentioned.

We received our email on Memorial Day. I made my request and got a response and all requests fulfilled within 24 hours.

That's just the CK menu. I want the pork belly appetizer.  I'd take that in the Mdr too.

We’re booked end of nov 4 day. Had wondered same thing  

 

Thinking some entertainment will necessarily be dropped with possibility of running “E-ticket”  shows in different venues at same time I.e. choose wisely

I totally agree.    Sue , I save your review to read in the evening.  It’s a real treat . I’ll miss it when your cruise ends . Made me laugh, also .  You have a great sense of humor .

Even though the mass COVID era is winding done we are being very careful with trying to follow those ever present social distancing as well as washy washy hands. 
 

But, we found one mode of transmission not being addressed and I will present it to one of the house keeping officers. 
 

We shall call it “germs on the move”.

If I had a cup I would have put it on it to isolate it.

So far you have had good luck getting to the ship and it continues. Good luck breeds good luck. This might turn out to be a free cruise the way you are going. So how do you win sweat shirts? I havent seen that before. Texas is lucky for you so far.

So now it is 3:45 am. 
 

I. have been up for 24 hours not to my liking. 
 

Fully awake. Spouse sleeping. 
 

Frustrated as all heck. 
 

I have the curse of restless legs and they are going overtime. 
Walked the stairs 10 times 

Took my Requip. 
Still doing the jumping. 
 

Some observations 

1. CK has less waiters. Matre D. Taking drink orders, serving those then delivering bread and butters. 
2. CK. Hourdevours the best display I have ever seen. 
3.  We initially had early dinner in MDR. Us as well as others shared this occurrence.  However since we’re in a suite the officers decided on their own to put suite guest in the my time dining plan. Saw on sea pass card.  And this ticked off many people when a few couple’s questioned this change going into effect Without any notification is unfair treatment. 
The staff  said why?  You always eat in CK. Anyway.  when asked if they could have their time back the response was you have no time. And it’s not going to change. 
3.  The casino COVID cleaning is none existent. 
4. The new smoke less casino looks like an open room. Wide spaces. All computer machines. Free drinks today for everyone who gambled there. There was a card in our room. 
5. Still have that crappy shampoo/conditioner in both bathrooms. 
I brought my own. (Big purple suitcases ). 😜

6. So far only 2 people remember us. Marva a cabin attendant ( she is not ours) And one of the waiters 

7. You really have to walk thru the promenade with blinders on. Crew every pushing dining, drink package and spas. More than ever I have seen. 
8. We had to do our phone safety info 3 times after we were on ships WI-FI. And it still did not Regis. So when we checked in we told them and they said don’t worry about it. 
9. The suite entrance door by CK is now locked at all times. Last cruise roving packs of kids were using it for play (😳) at all hours.

time to do stairs again 

 

I want to cry!!!

Interesting story about the dining situation.   I am taking my sister on the Allure and we will be in a suite and have decided that we were not eating all dinners in CK.  Have early dining booked.  Don't want MTD as we like to eat early.

Have you tried a big bar of white soap in the bed. I know it sounds silly but my dad and others swear by it. Quiets restless leg. Gotta refresh them after a while. I used to buy him bars of white soap to sleep with and they do seem to work. A old wives tale I admit but seems some basis. I had it a couple of weeks and tried soap and it quit. 

 

He tried potassium and ate bananas ..but soap worked best. His doctor said it was from lack of potassium is why bananas. Sorry to hear you cant sleep. The article says iron who knows... but he swore it worked for him. I'm assuming you have heard of it since it's a common story.

When the concierge emails you, make sure you tell them that you will be eating in the MDR some nights and not to change your dining time.

Way to go Sue! I need to take lessons from you. Wishing you good luck the rest of the way.

 

On your restless leg syndrome, I too suffer from it. I know you can’t take them onboard but at home I have a medical marijuana card and take a half of a gummy at nighttime and I sleep like a baby. Check with your doctor but it has really helped me.
