There is only one thing that was fortunate about this ordeal.....it wasn't on the pre cruise leg. 

Talk about needing new underwear.......

I'm so sorry that the return was a debacle, but as I said, better it was at the end and not the beginning.

Nice to read your comments in regards to our luggage fiasco. I am deeply concerned because there is a bottle of gin I put in my suitcase which  I had decided to liberate it from its oppression and bring it home.  I filed for adoption and naming it Hendricks. 
 

As I write this, I am on hold with AA.  Apparently, one suitcase is supposed to be delivered sometime between now and the Presidential elections and the other went from Miami to Charlotte because Charlotte sounds a lot like Port St Lucie. I can’t make this stuff up.  
 

Rant time:  listen up Regent (Cedric).  Why weren’t there any sticky buns served on the breakfast buffet?  I live for those. TB got the vapors on day three from lack of sticky buns.  I pay for my cabin just to have access to them.  I expect a partial reimbursement or at least a dozen sticky buns as compensation.  You can send them through American Airlines along with my luggage.

Airports and airlines are the reason that I do only one cruise a year and then do it with at least one back to back.  Once I get to where I am under Regent's wing I can relax.

Last December DH and I spent one week in Madrid without our luggage...we became the prime clients of El Corte Inglés, even buying needed formal wear!!  We returned home while the two airlines involved had our luggage flying everywhere but to our destination.  We received our luggage a whole month after we arrived home!!  BTW, we had booked AA all the way, but due to their delay, our second leg was transferred to Iberia.  End result, Iberia refunded our purchases made in Madrid...a little consolation for all the aggravation.

Sorry about your luggage.  When this happened to us on a trip home, the airlines would tell me the luggage was on its way on this such and such flight, since I had Apple AirTags in luggage, I would explain to them why they were wrong.  Then they would say, give me a minute to check and then be told they are still at the airport they were at yesterday.

I got mine delivered to my cabin, in the AM daily by the “resident”  butler, 😂 lol!

JFK: it needs some serious sprucing up. It has a lot of dirty walls.  The MPC line is supposed to be expedited when going through immigration but was on turtle express speed. Our luggage is somewhere over the Atlantic. Finally, security was what we called in the military a CF.  It was a mess.

Agree about Stockholm-Arlanda and the no signs.  Ridiculous.  We wandered around there not knowing where to go several years ago.  Finally went in an employee only area where someone yelled at us.  

 

George had the first part of your steak on our flight to LHR.  Totally inedible.  Uncuttable.  He is not sure it even was beef.  If so, very old cow.

Plus any sign that's in Swedish was basically worthless to us. I have a shot at figuring it out for many languages, but I would never have guessed that the "Biluthyrning" sign was for car rentals. This was pre-Google translate.

I got yelled at for asking security where BA was located.
 

I even got a cramp in my hand trying to cut my steak.

I just found out that one piece is being dropped of today and the other piece decided to take a trip to Cali, Colombia.  Unbelievable.

We can now call an end to this thread since the last piece of luggage finally arrived late yesterday.  
 

As you can tell, we are real fans of this line and find most discrepancies to be minor.  We met a couple who disliked the food.  I don’t get it because there is so much to choose from.  I admit that two of my steaks were disappointing, but it wasn’t the end of the world.  
 

The level of service was spot on and there is nothing negative to say.  The crew was attentive, friendly, and professional at all times.  
 

That’s all for now since I picked up some sort of crud and am on the way to Urgent Care this morning. Thank you all for joining us and sharing our adventure.  You, too Ken.

Thanks!  The luggage picked up more frequent flyer miles than me. They made platinum on this trip.
