Reciprocal status Royal vs Celebrity

I know I will be Elite status on Celebrity since I am Diamond on Royal.  Celebrity does not offer the 4 daily free drinks but instead offers free drinks during the Cocktail Hour (5 to 7pm).  Is this still true?  Friends thought this had been changed to allow the 4 drinks throughout the day?

True. Not at all bars. Ship specific for what bars. Limited beverage menu. Similar to the old CAS beverage menu. No CC HH the first night.

At the moment as everyone has stated is the 5-7 every night but the first.  However, I wouldn't be surprised if in the next year they change it to the four vouchers.  I've personally seen some young heavy drinkers do some damage at the martini bar, they appeared to have at least 6 double vodka sodas in the hour we were there.  Heck, you can "abuse" the benefit just by getting a bunch of water.  Capping the drinks at 4 would stop that

If feels heavy drinkers are at the martini bar, it’s likely that they are people with beverage packages not people drinking from the happy hour menu because the Martini Bar is usually excluded from the HappyHour.  Capping the Elites at four won’t have any effect on those heavy drinkers at that particular venue.

Unfortunately, Captain’s Club Happy Hour drinks are available at the Martini. Sometimes it makes for a rough crowd and really slows martini service.

Like @cruzzzinma states, Elite HH menu is honored at the Martini Bar yet Martinis are not included which adds some confusion

We like the benefit on RCCL better since you can use it any time of the day, but if you want to power down a bunch of drinks right before dinner the Elite benefit works well.  They used to have an actual cocktail party, but stopped doing it on most ships. There are other events like the Mixology event that are fun and interesting, but they are not only for Elite and up. If you have a Classic package (with AI) the benefit is not useful since you can get better service through the package.

We typically grab a couple of waters for the room during the HH times.

Apple martini was on the CC HH menu on Beyond in February.  And Cosmo too.  Yes to water and soda too.

Thanks, I realized I misspoke.  Many see the "fancy" martinis being made and request one only to find out it's not covered therefore some will spread the incorrect statement that the martini bar is excluded from Elite HH

There is also the Music and Mixology event. The one on our March Apex cruise was really good. Great bar tender (from the martini bar) and music. That event was only for Elite and above. According to the Apex CC concierge on that cruise she said it wasn't fleetwide at that time but going in that direction. Hope to have it on our October Eclipse cruise.

Problem with RCL benefits is that you have travel on a RCL ship 😱

They had it on Solstice in June.

Off the topic of Elite but I am adding a suggestion for anyone without a drink package that gambles.  The casino has free drinks (well quality) for those actively playing in the casino.  This is a little hit and miss but we found that if you tip a bit the server will keep an eye out for you in the future.  There are no strings attached (no blue chip club or Captains Club status required) except the obvious Vegas one that tipsy people gamble more and might lose more.  We could usually play a little and pick up a drink (or water) to carry to the show after dinner.

It's hard for me to know on here who has actual knowledge or not 🙂

That is a problem, throughout the Internet.

And then there’s the problem of people who do have actual knowledge, of an occurrence on one sailing on one ship, and extrapolate from it a new fleet wide policy.
