does this look like it would work?
if i combine Prepaid Service Charges, add specialty dining nights & OBC will this trigger the bonus?

PPSC  $520
Specialty Dining $166
and then buy $325 On-Board Credit Certificate

i have to pay the PPSC anyway, so this way if i cash out the OBC i get 2 "free" specialty dining

Why not keep it simple and just buy $1000 in OBC and then use it for the items you mention?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there is any fee for charging slot play to your room account.

I strongly believe you are wrong. The OBC is a credit on your account independent of what charges get posted.  Casino play hits your account, should you charge it to your room, with a 3% fee.  You do the math on whether you are OK with a 3% fee.

Yes, this looks like it should work.

even though i added everything to my "cart" and made one transaction, AMEX shows this as 3 purchases, so hopefully it worked (i got the email saying Great news! You recently used your Amex Offer at USD RESERVATION)

Yes it tracks multiple transactions. Congratulations on your email.

I haven’t gotten a NCL offer on my Amex card in years, and I check all the time—lo and behold, this one showed up! Hoping my wife has it on her card so we can save a few hundred on our cruise next year.

I once did a Carnival Corporation offer for HAL on both my card and my wife's card which is connected to mine. But I believe since then, AMEX has stopped that. Once it is used on one card, it is deleted from the other if the cards are connected on the same account. Probably possible still if they are totally different accounts, not billed together.

So yesterday I went ahead an purchased two $500 OBC vouchers.

I did receive the same email mentioned above above saying congratulations on using your offer.

The purchases are still pending, so it might take a few days for the charges to be verified as qualifying. I’ll update as soon as I know.

Has anyone with a UK Amex received a offer yet?

I did the same.  I’m pretty confident it went through,  I just wish we could cash it in before the last day of the cruise.  I plan to use the OBC in the casino, but don’t like the idea of paying $30 for the privilege of using my own money!  (I know, first world problems.  And it’s the same as a couple of hands of Blackjack.  But still.  😂)

Not yet. The last one was only a few days behind the USA one though.

Just out of interest (in case we do get one), are the OBC certificates refundable if you haven't spent it all? And how does that work?

you can go to the casino, pick a slot machine, charge money to your room to the machine, then cash out on the machine and take the pay slip to the cashier for cash (NCL does charge 3% for this)

Last time we used the offer and bought onboard credit, On the last day they gave us all the dollars(about 700) we had left in cash! We asked for it back on the card but seems they couldn’t do that.Trouble was we had 3 days after the cruise booked in Lisbon, don’t like having a lot of cash when travelling. But think I’d do it again the cash back on to my Amex was very nice.

I wonder if they had returned the moneys to your credit card (assuming it was the same AMEX card), would Amex have clawed back the credit they gave you. It would be like buying something to get the AMEX credit and then returning it for a refund but still getting the credit. By getting cash back, AMEX was taken out of the loop as to the return of the funds.

I just did three transactions for our cruise in May.  $280 DSC, $660 shore excursions and a $60 payment towards the cruise.  This is the alert I got from Amex.  I will report back in the next few days if it triggered the offer rebate.

I said I would report back.  $280 DSC, $662 Excursions and $60 payment towards cruise. Triggered the $200 rebate today.  So, you can do excursions to get the rebate.

Same here.  Pre-pay gratuities, buy an excursion, and top-off with OBC.  The AMEX credit has already been applied.  Hoping that as Sapphire casino tier, they waive the 3% charge to the room.
