Boarding times are getting later ?

We were on the Equinox in Sept and the earliest we could board was 11:30am.    I was checking the boarding times numerous times before sailing and there never was an option to choose an 11am boarding time.

Now we are going to be on the Reflection in November and the earliest boarding time is noon.

Is everyone else experiencing later boarding times?   What happened to 11am?

We just had the same experience. Earliest time available was noon for our Beyond Nov cruise. I did our check in just after midnight on opening day.

You selected a check in time and not a boarding time. Celebrity needs to do away with pre cruise check in times. Dose Celebrity even enforce it anymore? They didn't on our March Apex cruise. We've got a 11:00 AM check in time for October Eclipse cruise.

hmmm, now that I look at this (on the app) it's called "arrival time".   And when you click on the "arrival time" to select your time, the earliest time to choose (for the Reflection in Nov) is/was noon.  Where you choose your time, it says "you are required to select an arrival time for your wellness check".    They're not even calling it boarding time.

On the Equinox in Sept, we did arrive at the pier around 11:15am, got checked in right away and on the ship within a few minutes.   There were already a lot of passengers on the ship.

Our check in time on Equinox in July was 11:30.  We arrived around 10:45 expecting to wait but nobody even asked us about our check in time.  We just checked in and were seated briefly on a bench in an area with other people.  Once the bench area filled up, we were escorted as a group onto the ship.  I would estimate we waited less than 10 minutes.

My check in time for upcoming  EclipseThanksgiving cruise from Los Angeles was first available this am.  The earliest boarding  time available was 11:00-11:30. Is this the earliest boarding time now that Celebrity has available?  I remember on past Celebrity cruises, I never paid attention to the posted times.  I always just showed up a little before 10:00 and was on board between 10:45 and 11:00---- This is my first sailing on Celebrity since 2017.

11:00 has been the earliest we ever got.

On board Solstice, check - in time was purportedly “1730”, but

we arrived at pier 2 in Honolulu at 1135 on Sunday 1 October 2023,

and the time from taxicab exit to stateroom entrance was 20 minutes.

No mention of the 1730 arrival time …

Arrival time, check in time isn't the same as boarding time.  Boarding times are never advertised.

Is this the first cruise after the transatlantic? They might be filling in extra time because there are normally lots of arrival formalities, health inspections, crew inspections, etc. from the trans Atlantic which might delay the first post-transatlantic cruise times

Arrival times may vary based upon the scheduled sailing time with the port.  Also, docking time earlier that day may vary.  Last February, a storm delayed the docking of the Reflection in port, so we all waited to board regardless of our designated arrival time.

This makes sense!  We are on the Beyond in November and it is the first cruise after the transatlantic.  I was wondering also why the earliest boarding time was noon.  Makes sense now.  Thank you!

I know there is a large number of folks who want the earliest check in time but we try for the 1:00pm window. We don't have to bust our butts to get up and get going on embarkation day. The long lines have evaporated and we breeze through the check in process and most times our rooms are available when we board the ship. We can drop our carry on bags in the room, do the e-muster and the throngs in the food venues have all left for their cabins leaving it quiet for us.

We too have moved from the early check in times to the 11:130.   This way we can enjoy our morning without rushing.  No lines we have enjoyed walking right on and like a previous poster were able to drop off our luggage.  The buffet is not crazy busy.  We usually visit our muster station for check in on the way to the buffet.  We have done this for four cruises now.

We used to be one of those excited cruisers in the long lines and  craziness of trying to rush on the ship as early as we could.  Finding the buffet busy and difficult to even find a place to sit!  No more.   I guess we have finally realized how much more relaxing waiting until later can be!  Still plenty of food!!

I think you hit the nail on the head.  If I recall from talking with crew about arrival of Transatlantic and they indicated they have to go through a Coast Guard Inspection, Health and Sanitation Inspection and all Crew have to do face to face with CBP

agree.. we try to avoid the first cruise after a ta. There is  usually a boarding delay for one ir more reasons you mentioned.

How do late  boarding times work with the Concierge Lunch, which I believe is back on boarding day?

On the first cruise after transatlantic, I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t able to hold the Concierge lunch that day at all.
