Cruising the calm Arabian Sea on our way to Muscat, Oman.

Because it is Ramadan, we are reminded of proper dress.

We were told not to eat or drink in front of Muslims because they are fasting for Ramadan.

Is that what they asked you to wear throughout the city or just in the mosques?  Also, I am fairly certain they only fast in daylight hours, having a hearty breakfast before dawn and then dinner after sunset.

Hi @Bruce61   We will be arriving after breakfast and sail at 1600.  Here is Regent’s recommendation.  Sorry it’s crooked.  We were told because of Ramadan to dress conservatively. Absolutely no shorts or sleeveless tops.

Forever bummed because the Navigator skipped all three ports in Oman last November. Never were given a reason.

Good Morning Dubai!

You may notice I’ve been absent for a few days.  My husband fractured his femur and we disembarked today.  He has had multiple implants and injuries to his leg.  The Orthopedic surgeon in Dubai felt it was too difficult a procedure.  We will make the 20 plus hour flight back to LA tomorrow.  I will update you when I can.

The crew on this cruise was top notch!  The cream of the crop!  Every single one of them.  We will miss them all!

I'm so sorry to hear this! I've loved your daily (or as much as you could, with the internet troubles) location and food photos - very helpful to anyone considering trips to these locations. Wishing you safe travels home and a smooth recovery for your husband.

Good Morning my friends.  Jim, Cathy and I arrived safely at LAX Wednesday afternoon.  Jim was admitted to an LA hospital after waiting 6 hours in the ER waiting room.  He had his previous revision hip surgery there and needed to be seen by the same surgeon.

We found out Thursday that he will have surgery this afternoon (Friday). Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers.  I will keep you updated.  Crisy
