Ship - Equinox

Deck - 9

Cabin # - 9354

Class – C3

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near? Bath (Closet)

Quiet Cabin – Yes (see note below)

Balcony View - Unobstructed; Looks down on lifeboats

Balcony Size? Average

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments? Although it didn't bother me as much, my DH was bothered some by low level rumbling/vibration in cabin & hallway. Analyzed it & figured out due to smokestack workings in wall across from us & surrounding cabins. Where inside cabins stop along that stretch is where vibrations start.

Ship – Eclipse

Deck – 12

Cabin # - 2129

Class – S2

Starboard or Port Side - Port Side

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – A lot of noise at all times from Ocean Cafe above. The cabin is under an area where food and crockery carts are rolled and the noise is like thunder. This happened at all times including 2.30am until Guest Relations were able to prevent the really early morning stuff most of the time, but still from 5.30am I could hear it. A partial remedy was sleeping with the iPod in the ear.

Balcony View - Great view.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? – Normal size for an S2

Was wind a problem? No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? Aside from the noise from above this is a lovely cabin with lots of storage space, which is a real dichotomy and a shame.

Any other comments? I would not book an S2 on the side of deck 12 again unless it was one of the more forward cabins (say in line with 2121 and forward) as observations show these are not under the cart "highway", but more under the carpeted area of the buffet seating. It is an issue Celebrity are aware of and solutions include more sound proofing and carts with pneumatic tyres.

Deck #6, cabin #6305, sky suite

Does this suite have a round window in addtion to the balcony doors? That's the way they show it in the photo? I'm booked in this cabin for a Dec 2010 cruise.

Thanks for the info.

Deck - Deck Seven

Cabin # - 7356

Class – Sky Suite (S1)

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard/Aft (Corner)

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Fairly Quiet. There appears to be a water drain pipe behind the closet, so at times there was loud water draining noises that sometimes went on a while; otherwise no noise issues.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions. Nice view. Mainly aft views, but balcony raps around a bit to the starboard. The large porthole window has starboard view.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - All S1 balconies are same as far as I know. They are long, but not deep. Has nice size table and two chairs that can be set to recline as well as two footstools.

Was wind a problem? Significantly less wind than a side balcony.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Depending on which way the wind blows, there can be soot - sometimes a lot of soot. The room steward did a good job hosing the balcony off and keeping the furniture clean on a regular basis.

Any specific problems with this cabin? Overall is a great stateroom. Open and roomy design. The large porthole window is fun to put pillows in and sit inside. Lots of natural light between window & balcony. Can easily entertain a dozen people in the room for a party. Large closet with lots of storage and nice size television (40 inch).

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) –Quiet cabin except for TV in cabin behind our headboard. With flatscreen TV's the sound radiates through the walls and our neighbors left theirs on all night. Other than that it was perfect--

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. No obstructions at all--perfect view of port side of captain at the helm of ship when he was at the side "wheel".

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Large balcony with footrests and table along with teak chairs

Was wind a problem? No-except during TS Tomas

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? It is a forward cabin

Any specific problems with this cabin? Not at all-will request again

Any other comments? It is four steps to the hallway to the back entrance to the spa and Persian Garden provided to Aqua CLass passengers. It is a forward cabin close to the Aqua cafe, solarium and elevators. Could not have been more pleased with it.

Eclipse

Aqua - Deck 11

Room 1606 and 1608 (Hump Rooms) Port Side (Left)

Just back from 10 days on the Eclipse. Balcony sizes were great but.....rooms both get alot of pool noise from above as well as kitchen noise from Aqua Cafe. 6 am wake up call from ice being dumped into ice machine. Late night dance party on pool deck sounded like hammers on the ceiling of the room. The attendent's closet for the penthouse and royal suites is now in the hall outside of 1608 and 1610, not on veranda of 1610. Alot of banging from that but the most noise was from the metal door across the hall from 1606. Looks like possibly a laundry and work room for the pool and alot of people going in and out of that room with a metal bang as the door closed each time. Looks like 1501-1535 (port side (left) would be quiet, fitness center is above the even numbered rooms (starboard side (right) and as we were speaking to the girls at the desk outside the relaxation room, weights could be heard hitting the floor. We asked the girls about it and they said they have requested over and over to the fitness center personnel to put mats down or something to stop the thumping. Any one with questions about 1606 (bed near closet) or 1608 (bed by veranda), just ask.

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 9237

DECK (#): 9

CLASS: 1A

AREA: Mid ship Port side

BED NEAR: Bath

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: BALCONY SIZE: 1st angle balcony aft of hump, largest balcony. Great view aft but lifeboats below. There were no footstools on the balcony even though it is one of the largest balconies in this class. Our attendant did bring us 2 small tables that we used as footstools.

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:This cabin is in a great location. No noise from elevators. Never heard anyone on either side of us.

There is a popping noise like air in the pipes in the bathroom but not too loud.

The balcony railings are in need of staining and varnishing.

Would book this cabin again
