LrgPizza Posted November 2, 2015 #5877 Share Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the update. Glad you are enjoying the Brewhouse, it is one venue I am really looking forward to. Here is the part of the Daily that refers to adult only. Since there are like a total of 8 kids on this cruise, I have no clue how enforcement is. I was surprised when I saw that in the small print because I hadn't realized. Edit: wrong picture. Trying again Edited November 2, 2015 by LrgPizza

Trying again I saw the picture you posted and while it wasn't what was intended I did see some useful info on there. Surprised the late night snacks end at 11:30 (it looked like that). I thought it normally runs later? All of this info overload is very useful! :)

FreestyleNovice Posted November 2, 2015 Author #5880 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Wow How nice of you especially that last sentence. Hehe, take it easy, you might have missed the wink at the end. :) Aging, life and death is a thing we all cannot Escape, right? ;)

NoahtheRed Posted November 3, 2015 #5882 Share Posted November 3, 2015 FYI - The District Brewhouse is adult only, all the time. (I've not kept up on any posts since I've been on board, so not sure if that had been shared before.) Best News Ever!
barnacle_boy Posted November 3, 2015 #5883 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Has it been stopped forever? Some posters on the Escape have said it was stopped pending notification from Miami. Has it been stopped on all the other ships as well? Tours are still going on the other ships, but the new management is imposing different operational procedures that may affect future tours. They'll continue, but in a somewhat modified form.

Here it is: Regarding the evening snacks in the buffet, I wouldn't read too much into that. The dining hours have been all over the place, and I'm sure what is happening on the TA isn't necessarily indicative of what will happen on the regular itinerary. Rare KeithJenner Posted November 3, 2015 #5885 Share Posted November 3, 2015 No, there is no sign that I can see. It says it in the Freestyle Daily in very small print. (My connection sucks, or I'd upload the pic I took). There are just 4 Food Republic menu items available for order here out of about 50 on the actual Food republic menu. Like other bars on the ship, it isn't a place to go to eat. I've never seen anyone here with food, and we are here a lot. (I said "here" because I am sitting in The District Brewhouse typing this. Haha). We all had the sliders there a couple of days ago. :)

(I've not kept up on any posts since I've been on board, so not sure if that had been shared before.) That's interesting. When I was on with the family, we went in there and were told that our son wasn't allowed at the bar. We sat in the conservatory area for a couple of hours though and everyone seemed happy with that. We were all served no problem. We never went back as a family for those couple of days though, as it was obvious that it isn't really a family place. Rare steamboats Posted November 3, 2015 #5889 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Here's the pic I tried to post earlier where the Daily states that. So regarding the smoking policy balconies are not mentioned in the English version? It´s just "designated spaces of open decks" and "Humidor Cigar Bar". And as far as I can read the following sentence it´s just that electronic cigarettes do have the same rules as regular cigarettes. steamboats

And as far as I can read the following sentence it´s just that electronic cigarettes do have the same rules as regular cigarettes. steamboats I don't know if it has been widely discussed here since the internet is sooooo slow it takes me 5 minutes to try to load a page, but the Escape is certainly not for smokers. I am not a smoker but my wife is and the wife of our friends that we booked the cruise with is and they will never book the Escape again. I'm do not want to start a pro/anti smoking thing, just saying that if you are a smoker the trip will be very difficult and very inconvenient and it is not the ship for you. Neither regular cigarettes/cigars nor electronic ones are allowed anywhere inside (including the casino), and only a few outside bars. With the nasty weather we have had so far that make it not just inconvenient but very uncomfortable. The casino already knows based on land based ones that went non-smoking that it will take a 40% hit on the new CEO's decision. I'm betting (pun intended) that they will ultimately back off and allow it in a small section on the casino. Dave
Rare steamboats Posted November 3, 2015 #5891 Share Posted November 3, 2015 Dave, Don´t worry, first I don´t smoke, second I´ve already been onboard. I posted earlier that the German Freestyle Daily had a different smoking policy (including the casino and the balconies). I only wanted to know what´s written in the English version and make sure that the German version is not correct. steamboats

No longer mentions the aft MDR. When I was on the BA with my family this summer we went to Savor/Taste for dinner and they said it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine, but the hostess said unless you want to go to the Manhattan room. We said we were not dressed for it and she it did not matter. During dinner some others cam in in casual wear.
