Annoying calls from Carnival

Every time I login to Carnival's website they follow up by calling me. I'm just browsing and don't want to be called! This morning they woke up the family at 8:15 AM! I suppose now I have to CALL THEM and get my info removed. Do they do this to everyone? I find it's borderline harassment.

Yes, it's happened to us. It was a gal who was assigned to us for a few years and she'd call every time either of us logged in. We haven't been on the website lately, party due to not wanting the calls, so we haven't received any more calls from her. A couple of months ago we started getting calls from another PVP (a guy), out of the blue and we hadn't even logged into Carnival's website. He was calling quite frequently, several times those two weeks and even twice on one of the days. We didn't answer and he just left voice mail that he was our assigned PVP and to give him a call for the latest deals and to help plan a cruise. He hasn't called recently. We usually book through a TA who is a family friend or we do it on our own, so never used a PVP.

Try taking your phone number out of your profile. Granted it's a required field, so just put a fake one. If they don't have your phone number, they can't call you.

I used to get phone calls all the time, and that fixed it.

Great idea... done! Thanks!

They have the ability to put you on a "no call" list of some sort. I think I am on it.

When I first booked with Carnival, I would quite regularly check for price drops. I would also frequently get calls to my home number from a PVP looking for business (can't blame them). Since we rarely actually answer the home phone, that is really no problem for me. THEN, my wife happened to answer. The guy on the phone referenced the "cruise you recently booked" and asked if she had any questions. Well, my wife had no idea what he was talking about, since I had booked the cruise as a surprise for our anniversary. A surprise. So, naturally, her only question was, "we are going on a cruise?" I sent a message on FB to John Heald and explained the situation and also said if I had any questions, I would be sure to call them. I have not received a call since that message.

So, I know they can stop the calls because it happened to me.

Oh, and for those who want to check past-guest rates? You can check the box to "show past guest rates" and not put in your number. It still will show those past-guest rates. You can't check your personal offers, of course, but you can see past-guest rates.

Taking your phone number out doesn't help. I had this same issue, eventually it stopped. I had to tell her over and over to stop calling. Then I blocked the number, but still had to delete all of her voicemails. It's super obnoxious. But it did just finally stop.

Yup - every time I go on carnivals website - it generates a phone call within an hour. Very annoying - finally told the guy to quit calling me and if I wanted to book something I’d call them.

I got a call about a month ago. I informed the gentleman that I had just found out I was pregnant so would probably be taking a few years off from cruising. He responded with “So should I call you in January?” Um no sir. No you shouldn’t. [emoji23]

It used to happen to me, but it has stopped. I'm not sure why. It was always my assigned PVP. Maybe she figured me out? I do have a nice cruise booked--did that help? It didn't used to. But I am glad she stopped. Now, she waits for me to email or call her.

When I told them I was pregnant it didn't help at all! I still get the calls and I don't log in when I go to the website either. It's been about 5 months of ignoring his calls and I think he finally got the hint. Same thing happened a few years ago then they had switched us to this new PVP and man was he a pain, even calling any time from 7am-10pm.... I'm pregnant with a 2 year old DO NOT mess with my sleep!

I changed my number to (911) 555 5555 in hopes the auto dialer puts them through to emergency services and they get the hint to leave me the #%+^ alone

I think it depends on the PVP. I have used the same one for years, Michelle Atchinson, ext 82558 and She has NEVER bugged me. I actually wish she would call once a month or so just to see what the specials are athe the moment. Missed a great casino deal a few months back!
