Why would a person over 50 want to cruise on carnival?

We agree with kayandme67....

We are in our early 60's and love Carnival:D We will be going on our second Princess MR cruise in two weeks with friends, but we always come screaming back our Carnival again and again.

We love to dance, we love to have dinner in the main dining room at a large table meeting new people and sharing our days, and we love the wonderful "feel" of a Carnival ship;)

Age is just a number.....remember:

"You don't stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing".....

Because, if you're tired of the "same old", "same old"......And, you just need to "kick-it-up-a-notch" by booking a Carnival cruise.

We don't do a lot of Carnival cruising, honestly, my heart couldn't take it, not to speak of my nerves. But, when we do......it's always fun!!!!! :)

If you're over 50 try it! Or, if you've already tell me what you do. Share some of your secrets. I'll never tell!

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO wizard-of-roz: You know why I cruise Carnival? Because they are the fun ships and I enjoy myself. Just because I'm over 50 doesn't make me dead. Also, Carnival has the best food of the lines I've been on. They have more food choices than any line I've been on so far. I've been on five lines. And their food tastes excellent. A lot better than I've tasted on RCCL or NCL.

I've cruised more on Carnival Cruise Lines than any other cruise line.

I'll be 70 in 3 days :D. . . just got off the ELATION this morning . . . spent time in the disco, loved the small combo in another bar, played hold'em poker till nearly 5:00 am every morning and had a ball. With 18 cruises on Carnival, I don't intend to go elsewhere. Why fix it if its NOT broken? :D

Surround yourself with young people and you'll NEVER grow old. :)

(In case anyone wants to know, I cant still "bench" my own weight, which is something that less than 1% of the American male population can do.)

Didn't know life ended at 50! And here I thought I was entering my second childhood! And I'd better tell dh - he is doing all the things now he was never allowed to do when he was "young!" What do they say - things get better with time....

Shucks, we were over fifty before we could afford to cruise. We raised and educated three children. That left very little for what we considered 'luxuries' at that time. :p Now they are all out of the nest and encouraging us to cruise, cruise cruise! My favorite past time by the way. So all of you 'Senior Citizens' go on and cruise. Maybe you will love it as much as we do.

We are 74 now and still have a wonderful time. We've tried other cruise lines occasionally but always come back to Carnival!

Luv's Crusin'

50 is the new 40

(55 is the new 29 in my book) !!!!

Why Carnival....besides the fact that they have been priceless with their care of our special needs child all these years.....(which is MOST important)...

in a word....

56/55 and love Carnival. Gives us the most for our money - great itineraries - super service - best of all:

joined a roll call - made new friends - had a great cruise vacation - didn't want to part - planned a reunion cruise - new roll call for reunion cruise - meeting new friends, keeping in touch with the old ones - anticipating another great cruise vacation

What to do after that one? Repeat-repeat-repeat

I am 50+ but mental age 15 !!!!!I love fun My sons -2 young men are my travel companions and we ALWAYS have a blast .We love the late night RAUNCHY comedians

We are busy during the day exploring new sites or snorkeling of boats or shores

Nowadays 50 is YOUNG not decrepit!!!

Carnival or any other cruise line is for EVERYONE as long as they can pay for it .

I went on a CElebrity cruise ...everyone was in bed after dinner ....DUHHH...I closed the Casino twice at Midnight because I was the only one there....it was a VERY boring ship .On Carnival ships the evening STARTS at midnight!!!

Forget age as a number check out person's personality and tastes ...I like Fun and I go where it is ...By the way Costa is GREAT fun and WHOA people are over 50

Did my 1st Carnival cruise the week after I turned 50, took 2 others at 54 and 56. Great prices (love that they consider 55 to be a senior citizen :D), cabins, and ships. I've seen all ages on Carnival - infants thru 90+.

I've only cruised on Carnival and I always close the night club! I'm afraid to cruise on any other line because most of the complaints from people who cruise on those lines are about how there's way too much partying on Carnival. I have a feeling that I would be bored on other cruise lines.

I'm celebrating my 53rd birthday with my two grown sons (29 & 31) on my upcoming cruise in December! Let's get this party started!!! Yeah!!!

I work at a university and have even cruised Carnival during spring break! Okay, I'll admit after that one I needed another vacation just to recuperate. LOL!

simpleman, just have to say, LOVE your name and your avi. You have like 600-something posts and I've never seen you before. Weird.

Anyhoo... age is just a state of mind. I'm 40 and I'm stating that my minds age is 22. :D

We're both 63 and love Carnival because of the energy onboard the ships. We would not consider any cruise under 7 days, so every Carnival cruise has been a great mixture of age groups. We also like HAL, but it can be a little too quiet on their ships. The only problem we have with Carnival is the need for them to expand their itineraries!!

How many people want to see Houstonvip's abs?

Hi Roz...sorry for thread-changing. You have a devious knack for stirrin' it up. We sailed on the Golden Princess together, and did a meet-n-greet. We can't answer the over-50 Carnival question yet because we haven't sailed on Carnival. Our first time coming up on the Elation. We will check back and post. Hi your hubby and Brenda too.

Sharon

Hi Sharon, not "stirring", just curious if other "50's" see it the same way as I do. It's always nice to know that you're not alone.

Wow! Carnival spirited people are amazing.

Not that Princess and other's arent' fun and have their "mood" of excitement, it's just that Carnival seems to be a notch-up!

Take care, maybe our paths will cross on another cruise.

I often cruise with my mom. I'm in my forties and she's 72. She loves Carnival (so do I) and she doesn't even want to go on any other line now. We just recently cruised on the Victory. A different port every day. She and I both agree it's our favorite itinerary so far. While we were on the plane going to San Juan there was a couple across the row from us and they must have been in their fifties and the mother of one of them was with them They were all sailing Royal Caribbean then, and the older lady said she was a bit disappointed as she loved Carnival because they were the Fun Ships!
