Harmony Keel Blocks are in the House... well they're outside actually!

In this thread it has been said Harmony is wider then Oasis by 3m. Either that is not true or RCI has not put out correct info. Max beam for Harmony is listed as 154 ft while Oasis is listed as 213 ft. Would love accurate info.

That's the typical apples and oranges comparison you see on on Royal's documentation. 154 feet is measured at the waterline and 213 feet is measured at the bridge wings. In other words, you cannot compare the two.

Having had a father that built boats/ships for a living I know beam is normally measured at the waterline.

I agree, but you have to keep in mind that "normal" and Royal Caribbean don't go together.

I for one question the 3 meters of additional beam. Across 1,187 feet of length and 14 decks is a lot of additional tonnage.

The 3 meters isn't for the full 1187 feet because of the bow taper. It still is a weight gain or RCI is building a ship using some magic we don't know about.

The max beam and length is traditionally reported on all watercraft since they are critical for clearance.

I expect to hear the dimensional difference in detail at launch since Harmony will take over bragging rights from Allure.

I believe that this is just part of the video, showing the process of entering one of the slides at each end of the platform sticking out the back of deck 16. The image above shows the gaping mouth of the Abyss 'lobby' with stairs to the two slides.

Can't see this for whatever reason. Just flashes the screen. Anyone see this on a laptop?

I can post some screen prints tonight.

As my co-worker just said after viewing the video, I hope that parents don't have trouble getting their little kids to climb in tot the mouth of a large fish with sharp teeth. :D
