The Boss and I are booked to NZ mid March on the Pacific Explorer and friends are keen to jump on board with us. The current deal is pretty good (base fare $1374pp inside guarantee with $150 OBC) but they were hoping for another flash sale in the next few weeks. Do these sales come thick and fast or will they have likely missed the boat?

Over the past year, P&O has had around 20 "flash" sales. It has been a bit of a running joke here.

I thought I got a good price,  (although not what one would necessarily call cheap) on my recent, first cruise, Sydney/Singapore . 16 days, OV DD, large ocean view AUD5698 (AUD2849 pp) including return flights. A sweetener was USD200 obc. Imagine my surprise when about four days from end of cruise I discovered the obc was per person not cabin! The OBC covered our Benoa and Lombok excursions. Yay! I checked  TA correspondence and could not find anything that mentioned anything about OBC being PP.

My TA has alerted me to some specials on the Pacific Encounter (25th April to PNG and 7th June also). The 25th April one is $600 pp for 10 days in an obstructed ocean view cabin, twin share. There are several specials on P&O cruises out of Sydney. I didn't go into detail on these because for us it would entail flights plus transfers.

This might be a selective promo, and includes past cruiser discount. It is also showing as $198 solo with $250 OBC.

I've heard so much about this special, but it's not coming up for me...

Has anyone tried calling Carnival and to get this special price?  I had already booked the 7-nighter on the 5th and can't do the following one. I usually do everything online if I can, but maybe 'next time', calling would be better?

Checking multiple times per day online for offers has worked twice for us. You have to be quick though, these offers are not there for long.

Not coming up for me. Must be targeting certain people only.

I didn't get an email but I logged in and the offer was there. I could get a balcony on either of the 2 sailings mentioned above for 7 nights for $187, solo cabin, including $500obc.

My deal has disappeared now and is twice that price.

Now that was an excellent deal.

That is worth a shot. We have friends who have never cruised with Carnival, who were able to book that cruise over the phone for an extra $50pp. The promo code is "QLF" and I believe it ends on 31st Jan.

The Carnival deals are back out today with dates through to April. I was almost tempted to get onboard tomorrow for $97 with $250 OBC but, alas, I have to work. Sale code showing under my VIFP is QLF. Out of 5 family members who have sailed on the Luminosa since December, two of us had the QLF offer code. Neither of us spent even $1 in the casino onboard.

Also some amazing Pacific and 10+ day NZ deals out of Sydney this time around too.

I did book for the 2nd April, which was a little more costly due to it being school holidays and over Good Friday holiday etc, but my sister works in a school so the timing was perfect for us. We paid $370ish pp with $250 OBC pp in a balcony cabin for 7 days to the pacific islands. March dates were much cheaper. Solo cabins were the same price pp.

FYI - I did receive a deal email today but it didn't show these super cheap offers, but it did prompt me to log into my account and the deals were quietly sitting in there waiting for me.

Good for you, glad you found some good prices this time. I also logged in today and saw the cheap fares, but no holiday leave left for us for a while.

We are on Luminosa in 4 weeks for a 3 nighter, got a balcony for about $150 I think. Looking forward to checking the ship out and being back on Carnival

Thanks so much. While my two January cruises would have been considered cheap by normal standards ($100pp/per day in a Suite) it IS nice to be offered some of these crackers. Who knows when we may next see cruises this cheap again so I was determined to grab one!?!

Nah. Cruising with Princess for 21 days in March. Plus flights from Melbourne are not cheap.

Great bargain for Azamara Quest 19 Feb 2023 sailing from Fremantle - considering what you get plus the "small ship experience".  Worth a look if anyone call travel at short notice from WA.  I jumped on it as it was too good  to pass up.
