awhfy Posted June 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2015 This looks interesting, especially if we can get a fountain view room at Bellagio. I called to inquire but the reservation clerk wasn't aware of the discounts. He did say that they were told a new promotion with a cruise ship was coming but he didn't have details yet (I forwarded him the email). I'll wait another week... Driveshaft Posted June 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2015 I also got the email this afternoon. There is a special number to call to book the MGM resorts. Looks to be the only way to secure the discount.
awhfy Posted June 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2015 That's the number I called. I guess they need a couple of days to get the memo

Cruisin MarcnFran Posted June 25, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2015 This is the same deal that Crown & Anchor has had for several years now. MGM will put you in one of their levels of their player's club according to your Captain's Club level. But if you do not maintain your points needed for that level each year you will be bounced back to a lower level....then your discounts get lowered. maggie.1008 Posted June 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 25, 2015 We go to Vegas and stay at Mandalay Bay or Delano. Both are MGM properties. The players benefits are much better than they are offering to Cruise passengers.
BosoxI Posted June 25, 2015 #10 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Waste of time for most, I suspect. The last time I was in Vegas, it was a complete fiasco on every level. I don't ever want to go back :(
tampadee Posted June 25, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 25, 2015 It seems kind of strange from a cruise line that is known for bad casinos. Royal Caribbean really caters to gamblers that are involved in MLife. We gamble a lot on Royal Caribbean but make it a point not the go near a casino on Celebrity. Nachosdelux Posted June 25, 2015 #12 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Waste of time for most, I suspect. The last time I was in Vegas, it was a complete fiasco on every level. I don't ever want to go back :( I'm going to respectfully disagree. For those that do visit Vegas, the ability to "jump the line", discounts, and other perks are a nice freebee. HooKares Posted June 25, 2015 #13 Share Posted June 25, 2015 It looks like M Life card holders are being offered some benefits to entice them to book a holiday with Celebrity. This was on MLife FB page… :) “Announcing our newest partnership with Celebrity Cruises that will bring more access and rewards to M life members! kenevenpar Posted June 25, 2015 #15 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Would someone tell me what a " minimum room discount of up to 20%" is. :confused:Doesn't a 0% discount fall in this range? I just love marketing speak
maggie.1008 Posted June 25, 2015 #16 Share Posted June 25, 2015 It says that M Life players can earn M Life points by playing on board X. I wonder if you have to sign up ? Sign up with X or M LIfe ?
maggie.1008 Posted June 25, 2015 #17 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Just called Mandalay Bay VIP services in Las Vegas. The program is so new they do not know how to combine Celebrity account with M Life account. I cruise again in 3 weeks and would like to get M Life credit for playing on board. Hope Celebrity can comment.

4774Papa Posted June 26, 2015 #21 Share Posted June 26, 2015 Vegas is good for the shows, but I hate it when I am out on the street at midnight and I see people dragging kids out there, next to the hustlers pushing porn. I could be very happy never going back to Vegas.

Never understood why people bring kids to Vegas. Also the hustlers are pushing hookers, not porn (big difference!) ;)

warmwinds Posted June 26, 2015 #25 Share Posted June 26, 2015 But what is the percentage discount going to be "off" of? Full rack rate? Anyone who gets an Mlife card and puts a dime in a slot machine is going to get better rates than that anyway, so I'm not sure I see the point.
