96 hours "Live" Part Deux, Freedom of the Seas - August 28, 2016

Great review John. It makes me think I need to do a speed test on Allure as well. The wind certainly showed with the hair by the pool photo.

Have a great night and day tomorrow.

Grand Cayman, thanks for stopping by. Hopefully I can see your scopes tomorrow.

Front row for adult comedy. I hope Laura makes it. I left her in casino.

I love GC. Enjoy the day there. Could be dangerous in the front row, but maybe not as dangerous as leaving Laura in the casino, worse might have been the jewelry shop.;)

Seas have been calm for us, the weather steadily improved over the day. I hope it is good for you.

Hi All!

Just got off the FOS last Sunday (Aug 14) from the Aug. 7th sailing.

I see this sailing is visiting George Town, Grand Cayman. You will love it!

Last year my family and I did this same itinerary you guys are going on this year. This year we chose the other itinerary (George Town, Roatan, Costa Maya & Cozumel) because we really wanted to visit Roatan before the FOS leaves for Fort Lauderdale.

I'm looking for someone in the U.S. who plans to visit the Grand Cayman Turtle Farm who would be willing to do a fellow cruiser a big favor.

My daughter purchased a hat from the gift shop. Unfortunately somewhere along the way between the Turtle Farm and returning home to Pennsylvania she misplaced it.

If you are planning on visiting the Turtle Farm and are willing to visit the gift shop for us, I would be very grateful if you would contact me, either through CC or my email. My email is my CC user name at protonmail dot com.

I will send you a pic of the specific style/color of the hat we are looking for. I will of course send you a money order for the cost of the hat and the shipping cost before you depart (along with enough to purchase your own hat if you desire).

Thanks for your time and have a wonderful cruise!

Regards,

Last Mate

In CL having latte. Signed up for Stream. $8. Ping still 184, but download is 7.5 and upload is 4.4. :D

Quite a difference. So you only have to pay the difference. I forgot if you purchased surf pre-cruise or onboard.

Thanks for the review. We are enjoying it so far. Thanks for the photos and the info on cabin 1890. We were on the same itinerary on the Freedom this past March and sail her again on the 6 day itinerary.

We have several cabins on that top deck where you are staying booked for our 2017 cruise. Our group has 1840 (the mirror image of your cabin on the starboard side) - love the size of that TV, although we are not on the cruise for the TV. Another family has 1851 and 1801 (two inside cabins on that deck) - curious how they compare to the older interiors on lower decks and if they have the same TV you have? We also have both 1804 and 1854 (the two family panoramic cabins). We are so excited to have these two cabins.

Any other info you can share on the cabins up on deck 12 that you can share would be most appreciated. I have read your comments about the creaking and easy access to the pool deck. How is the motion that high up at the bow? I expect a fair bit of movement compared to other locations on the ship, but just wonder your thoughts on it.

FYI, 1890 has a speaker on the balcony. :(

Grand Cayman tendering took about an hour and a half to get through tender ticket #30.

Kind of a dreary morning.

7 mile beach in the distance. Not the view I was hoping for.

At least it's not raining. Yet. 😉

Wish y'all had been with us last week! We had beautiful sunny days, since captain changed our eastern itinerary to Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Hope you have better weather soon!

Tell Julia, Rahul and Bertie, "Hi!"
