So I lost my physical gift card but have the numbers and pin. You think I can still add it at the kiosk ?

I just did on the Vista this past week. We added a total of 7 cards throughout the week. We did have issues occasionally. Only 1 time we had to go to first services. Yes all 7 were ecards

Thanks, snagged two of them just under the wire.

Hey y'all, how's everyone doing? Been about a month since I've been around. Main reason is, I was dealing with COVID last month. My son got it from a friend and brought it home. He did good with it. Flu symptoms for 2-3 days. He slept a lot and was fine after. Young man's immune system. He gave it to me. I had some very mild cold symptoms at first, so figured it was Omicron, which is basically the common cold. But things went downhill for me. The fevers started (nothing too high, but constant) and then the breathing trouble. Shortness of breath for almost a week. Kept a close eye on my O2 levels, didn't need to go to the ER or anything. But the breathing made it hard to sleep, so I was absolutely exhausted. Got through all that in a couple weeks. Still have some sinus drainage, which leaves me with a little cough, and my taste isn't 100% yet. Too much activity still wears me out fast. With the heavier symptoms, it's likely we got the Delta bug. But that's mostly behind me and I'm happy to move forward with my natural immunity. 👍😁 Hope everyone's doing well.

I never really thought about it before, but in my experience with AARP all of the gift cards I have bought from them (quite a few over the past 18 months, both Carnival and other brands) have been ecards.   This was true even where the cards were not specifically labeled as "egift cards."  I am wondering whether anyone has ever purchased a physical gift card from AARP.

AARP completely revamped their rewards service a couple years ago. After that, they've only been selling Carnival e-cards. Prior to the change, it was all physical cards. They also never limited us back then. After the change, the limit was 3/month, but a lot of us complained and they bumped it up to 5.

One other option is to use it to buy Cruise Cash. You do from the online Fun Shops and it'll be on your S&S account when you board. Only problem is, it's non-refundable, use it or lose it. There was a way to cash out any remainder in the casino, but since they began sailing again, there's been reports of that method not working. Then again, I've seen some here say it was working again, so it could go either way.

Back on Black Friday they had a Celebrity e-card for 30% off, a limit of one pp.  A few weeks ago they had them back in stock @ 10% off.  Bought 8 of them, so I got 1000 worth for 860, saving 14%.  The 1000 is the most you can apply to a single sailing.

Glad you are feeling better OC.   And I think some recent studies show that if you got Omicron and recovered you have some significant natural immunity.  So that is all to the good.

And for what its worth as of a few days ago AARP does have discounted Celebrity GCs back in stock.  As you point out, there are serious limits on what you can use them for and how much you can apply to a single Celebrity sailing.

Any news on when carnival e-cards will be back?  I have been checking for over a week now and they are still not available.

TIA

I almost bought a gift card at Allstate planning to pay for a cruise I was in the process of booking but noticed at the last minute they were NOT e-cards so I would have to wait for it to be received via the mail.  Thankfully I did not buy one and was able to get an e-card at AARP site.  They were slow sending me the gift card code (took about 20 hours) but still got to book.  So, bottom line be aware whether you are buying an e-card or a physical one and if you need the e-card right now, go to AARP site.

30% off. Nice! I miss all the opportunities we used to get in addition to Allstate & AARP. One year, the U.S. Travel Association sold Carnival cards for 15% off as part of an annual promo event. Only downside was they limited it to 3. That same year, an eBay gift card store owned by PayPal had Carnival cards for 15% off. Again, limit of 3, but they did two separate sales, one after the other. The Travel Association ran their promo again the following year, said they were still partnered with Carnival, but the gift cards never showed up.

Someone did mention Newegg was selling $200 cards for 10% off a couple weeks ago, but it'd be nice if other sources popped up.

Tried PUNTPRIZE1000 and PUNTPRIZE2500 out of curiosity too and neither work, just so others know.  Thanks for trying the variables though
