Allure - Best deck?

Recommended Posts

Going to be my first time on one of the mega ships and need some input. Which deck do you suggest staying on and why? I'm just wanting a regular Ocean View/balcony room. Where are the obstructed views? I don't want to have to walk a mile to everything but don't want to be right over a bar either. Suggestions please.

Deck 6. It's within 2 decks of the ice rink, the theater, the jazz club, the comedy club, the casino, the dining room, the promenade, the schooner bar, the spa, the boardwalk, the rock climbing walls, central park, and dazzles. I don't think any other deck has that many things within such an easy walk.

We like deck 9. Close to Central Park, but not hot near the entrances to Central Park.

If not in a suite, I like deck 6 for these reasons:

  • same deck as Boardwalk / AquaTheater aft and Spa forward.
  • walk down one deck to the Promenade.
  • walk down one deck to walking / jogging track.
  • walk down two decks to Casino and Amber theater.
  • walk up 2 decks to Central Park.
  • walk down 1 or 2 decks to Main Dining Room.

So most of the time we do not need to bother with elevators and just take the stairs up down 1 or 2 decks for the majority of our activities. The exception is going to/from the pool deck 15.

Can anyone tell me what its like on Deck 3 on Allure.....I feel like im going to be in the abyss lol. I hear no one speak of it.

I have gone for an interior cabin just because we are not "roomies". Just a place to lay our head, wash and dress as long as its clean and as we are on a budget we figured we'd rather spend on dining, drinking, seeing etc.

Am I selling myself short here do you think? Any advice. Im sure its like another £300-400 for a room with a view.

Thank you

We have had a ov balcony 3 times on Harmony on deck 8 midships and loved the proximity to Central Park our favourite part of the ship.

We were on Allure a couple of weeks ago and had cabin 10264 which was an ocean view balcony right off the elevator. It was quiet and we totally enjoyed that cabin. I would only stay in a cabin that was sandwiched between two passenger decks.

Just back from AL yesterday. Had 6664. 40 second walk to the Boardwalk. 30 seconds to the elevators. Central Park two decks up. Coffee and tea available at Boardwalk or Promenade Café. Considering the location, very little noise. Have 6644 on HR next month.

I have stayed on deck 8 ocean view balcony between the first hump and the forward elevators. Perfect location. We also stayed on a boardwalk balcony on the oasis closest to the aqua theater and that was my favorite. I loved watching the water shows and late night movies as well as all the practices right from my balcony.

I would agree with those who suggested Deck 8. We were also there and loved the location. Although there are specialty restaurant on that deck, we heard absolutely no noise from anywhere and had no smells from the restaurants. We also enjoyed going to Central Park.

Central Park is brilliant the only criticism i have is there is no bar service waiters and you have to go to the Trellis bar or Vintages yourself if you are sitting outside to get a drink.
