Anthem 11/18 Sailing- Spectra is gone

Just checked our reservation, and it still shows Spectra on 11/19 (Sunday). Maybe that single show was canceled, or moved.

And looking at the overall entertainment schedule, Spectra is still listed for days 2, 3, 5, and 6. So it may just be the one show on Day 4, Nov 22.

So, got this email from RCCL last night. Wonder what happened?

They cancelled one performance. That's all.

There are any number of possible reasons. They need Two70 for something else, most likely.

Nothing more to this.

Don't worry - as you said, just use the Royal IQ app (as soon as you enter the terminal) and grab another time.

Our original date and time was cancelled as well on the 10/28 sailing. The only availlable time was the last sea day at 7PM. Same cast performs all 3 production shows. Cancellation might have something to do with the set and all the techinical aspects to Spectra.

Wonder what they're doing at that time that cancelled the showing? Says I have too rebook onboard so probably aren't any prebook spaces left. Oh well. Guess I'll try to reschedule with IQ once we're onboard.

On our Spectra show no one checked any reservations...You can just walk it. Be there early...plenty of seats but only few comfortable. They have 15 types of chairs in there, from comfy armchairs, to almost bleachers type set up - the ones most upfront...avoid these...very uncomfortable...

IMHO, the worst set of entertainment of the entire fleet. Walked out on all 3 shows when sailed her in Aug '16. Don't have to fret about making reserves. I'm hoping there's some good entertainer/headliners for our Jan. 28 sail., otherwise will spend more time in the casino.:D

I actually agree with you at least about Spectra....many walked out during our Oct 12th cruise...one night was cancelled but I don't believe that was the reason...word was it was a scheduling conflict. And those that said you could just walk in without a reservation are correct.

I'm fine taking your spot. Love the show.

The only show I'm not planning on seeing again is The Gift. We'll see WWRY and Spectra as many times as we can.

I agree, I'll be seeing Spectra and WWRY for the 13th time in a couple of weeks. Love them both.

I've seen all three shows. Really didn't care for Spectra, though I love Two70 and the amazing stuff they can do in that space. Be sure to wander in there periodically in the evenings to check out what might be going on.

FWIW, I thought The Gift was lovely (and it's under an hour, so no great time commitment to see for yourself!). WWRY is a cheezy cartoon; last part of the show is excellent, but it's sure a lot to sit through to get to it. (Great production values, though.) Obviuosly, YMMV.

Just got off Anthem Saturday and the same thing happened to us we were sent a notice to our room giving us two other options and said we could pick either one.

I love Spectrum but the only thing with seeing shows multiple times is I always compare it to the first time which is usually the best one to me.

The first time I saw Spectrum it was a male playing the lead role and he was amazing this time it was a girl and she was good but I preferred the guy it seemed like that role was made for him.

The best Spectra Terry LaVell left on 10/28. I have never seen a woman in the roll. This will make it more interesting when I board again for number 13 on 12/2.

We have seen Terry twice as spectra and saw the woman last night. She was okay but nothing like Terry. He owns the role , she just didn’t have the attitude and presence that he projects.

Agree - I'm not a fan of Spectra either and would not see it again - but to each his/her own. Some love it.
