We made prime on our last cruise and they told us on board that would entitled us to 1 free cruise. When we called they said we only get free cruise offers on certain sailings. Does this mean we have to pick from these choices and once we pick an offer will that be it and they will stop offering deals? Also, we have to travel with our 1 and 2 year old and they said we can’t ever use the kids sail free offer. Do they ever allow for you to use offers they give to everyone else?

Thanks in advance!! :)

Once you turn prime you will get 1 free cruise per year in an inside cabin. Since you just turned prime your free cruise won't kick in until next year to be used from April 1st until March 31st.

Generally you can’t use any special promotions or pricing discounts for full complimentary cruises. No C&A balcony discounts, on board booking OBC  etc. OP, when you get your prime letter in the spring, you can call to book the (up to) 8 night cruise of your choice. You can get get the additional cost to add a third or forth or to upgrade.

Enjoy

Welcome to Prime....

You will get a free cruise....there is a certain amount of cruises to choose from; however, you can choose any cruise and get a significant reduction in price...find the cruise you want and then call Casino Royale.

I had a free cruise last year that I am now taking in December.  It was not one of the cruises that I could choose from, but I was able to take $750 off.

I have a free cruise coming in March...it was one of the cruises to choose from, but I upgraded it to a balcony.

Casino Royale has been great and will answer all your questions.

Unfortunately, Nessa is incorrect.  Picking a particular sailing from a list is only when you’re awarded a free cruise certificate on a ship. The eligible cruises are listed on the back of the certificate.   Your Prime status entitles you to any cruise, 8 days or less, that’s not over a holiday.  Since you just reached Prime, your free cruise will be in an inside room sailing between 4/1/2019 and 3/31/2020.

oops...sorry.  Didn't mean to give bad info...but that's what they told me...now I know better.

Lately, I’ve gotten more offers for complimentary cruises by snail mail than I have through email offers.  When I called CR to book my latest one I asked why I suddenly started getting these offers and said they are “monthly” offers.  No further elaboration. These offers have been very affordable to upgrade.  Between my husband and me we’ve gotten at least 6 such offers in the last 3 months.  Hey come sealed in a plastic mailing sleeve. We’ve taken advantage of a few of them.

I had enough points last year to make prime for the 2018-2019 period. I was able to book Symphony for the 1/5/19 sailing. On my Mariner cruise last week I earned enough points to keep my prime status for 2019-2020. For each of my last 3 cruises prime has been printed on my sea pass card right next to my crown and anchor status. No sticker was needed and it was very easy to get free drinks in the casino.

I've had mixed results with having "Prime" printed on my  seapass card.  Once, in the past 3 cruises, my husband had "Prime" on his seapass card, but I did not. Then, when we got to the room, he had a letter from Club Royale and I did not.  When I spoke with the casino host about it, he (after some lengthy keyboard clicking) determined that I should have been recognized and placed the old clear sticker on my card.  Then, on the next cruise, we both had the pre-printed cards but the casino host told me that somehow I had gotten a duplicate Club Royale account.  This sent shudders through my body as we all know what happens when they <anything Royal> have duplicate accounts for you.  He told me that he merged the 2 accounts successfully but I am still very wary.

Since April 1 I have kept meticulous track of our CR points as I have NO confidence that they will accurately track this themselves. There is zero chance that I will ever make Signature level as I do not wager enough to ever reach that threshold but I need to at least maintain Prime.

Tables is much harder to get to prime so we normally stick to machines. We got to 2800 points in one cruise (2500 is prime) doing 2-3 hours per day with slots minimum bet $5 a spin.

How do you find out what your points are?

If you play the machines, it's easy to find out your points.  It's right on the machine.  If you are a table player it's not so easy.  You must wait until you are completely done playing on the last day (or whenever you know that you are done) and have the casino host or the pit boss (different ships have different processes) compile all of your points.  Sometimes it's a very quick process and sometimes it takes a while.  But eventually, someone will give you a final points total.  Make sure that if you have played slots AND tables that they combine all of your points b/c they are tracked separately and must be compiled to give you a final number.

...if you're lucky.  Sometimes (in the past, before I started tracking my own points) they can only give you the points earned on your most recent cruise.  I find the reps to be inconsistently (word of the millenium for RC) able to provide historical information from past cruises.  Perhaps they've improved this ability recently.

I had this issue when I first found out that I was prime and was trying to back track my points starting 1 April 2018.  At first the rep could only tell me my points from my last cruise but after refusing to accept just that she eventually got a supervisor to unlock something in their system so she could give me ship by ship my points from 1 Apr on.

Welcome to Prime.

Remember that you also get free drinks in the casino. You may have to get the host/hostess to put a prime sticker on you card.

"Prime " is right on your seapass card now..no need to ask for a sticker.

So I just contacted CR and they told me I'm 54 points away from Prime. Told my fiancé we have got to do a short cruise to get the 54 points. Could we use the free cruise for Alaska? And I have a $250 certificate so im thinking the 2 night Mariner in Feb is all we need. I need any advice. I would rather drive 3 hours to Miami and go on the Mariner than go to Port Canaveral and go on the Enchantment.

You can book any cruise of 8 days or less as long as it’s not over a holiday.  The cruise will need to be scheduled from 4/1/2019 to 3/31/2020.

Earning 54 points should be easy!  I would however call CR again to confirm your point total.  They’ve been known to give misinformation.
