Just saw report that there is a possibility Dorian could be pulled North before hitting Florida. If that were to happen and ships were able to get into port safely on their original scheduled day would they or stick to the changes already made? #JustCurious 😆

I’d say no. They have made their plan and are sticking with it.

Except for the whole thing spinning back off to sea and never touching land, the eye staying off the east coast is the best case scenario here. The western half of the storm is the weakest.

Matthew did that in 2016, the eye just missed the Cape. Not sure what happened to the Port that year but most of Florida was spared.

What's going to be the over/ under on the number of people that will try to get off in Cozumel and head home?

My guess is 599.

Not laying money in that bet.

I seem to remember a lot less than that two years ago on Oasis.

I might be be able to find out from my sources.

I wonder how many still sail with just a birth certificate and ID.  Without a passport, that wouldn’t be an option.

If it was me, I would stay on till they kicked me off.

Lisa heard people complaining about it already this morning. If you have a passport take it will you every time and lock it in your safe.

Matthew is the one that flooded a lot of Jacksonville for the first time ever.

Our DD and SIL’s beach house had four feet of water standing in it.

It did an enormous amount of water damage that was totally unexpected.

There’s no possible good scenario.

Agree, while I don't wish any hurricane on anyone I don't want a replay of Matthew, we got hit pretty hard here in SC with the rain and wind.  Best case scenario is Dorian curves east before getting close to land which is a possibility although very low at this point.

Current Speed test. Wifi is now free and so are phone calls.

Speeds definitely took a hit as would be expected with that many more users.

Did they offer free for remainder of cruise or just certain times?

Really poor performance.  That pipe is extremely busy now.  And I'll bet the ship operations are getting more than half with all the info that's being downloaded.

Mathew passed our place at low tide, by the time it made Flagler and Jacksonville it was high tide. Much different outcome

Made a real mess of Flagler Beach and St Augustine. They still haven’t finished the repairs to A1A that was washed out in Flagler Beach. It’s been quite a project sinking these huge pillars of steel and concrete to the sea wall.

The media here in Jax is predicting astronomically high tides.

It was a shock back then to see four blocks of downtown under water along with neighborhoods along the river.

We’re really hoping it won’t happen again.

That’s what I figure! Was curious though if they’d change it up...

DH learned this lesson flying back to Florida from Guam. Plane had to make an emergency landing in Japan. What a mess that was for him because he did not take his passport with. You just never know!

On our disastrous flight to Singapore last year, we ended up in Shanghai without a Chinese VISA, but since we never left airport we were fine

Well that's a bummer Andrew. Not even an overnight in Cozumel. 2 day visits from 8 AM -6 PM. Fresh water is important after all.  I was thinking folks could have dinner onshore.

Our friends Tim & Kathy are onboard, and their thinking is similar to yours about dealing with an extended sailing.
