What is interesting is we are “loyal to royal”  (D+) but have sailed with Carnival twice in the past 20 years. The last being 3 years ago with an invite from our son and his family.  We received an offer today from Carnival, for a free balcony, free drinks package, several hundred dollars free play, with a 3rd and 4th guest sailing for $10 each! It’s just the two us, but it was a very nice offer...actually better than most of the offers we get from RCL! To be honest, after the first Carnival cruise 20 years ago, I said I would NEVER sail with them again. However, the one 3 years ago was on the “Magic” and it was absolutely awesome in every way! Wake up Royal, there is serious competition for “sailors” right now. Up your ante! 😅

We’re D+ also, never have cruised Carnival but are three star with HAL. With RCCL’s current offer, we were able to get two connecting ocean views and the free play. As far as drinks, we get the HH and free Prime drinks while casino is open. I’m good with that. 😄

Both my wife and I are choice with about 25 points and have no offers.  I’m guessing there is a certain threshold that you must reach within choice to receive offers.

Thanks for posting this. I haven't cruised on RCCL in 1-2 years. I only get post cards in the mail with my offers. Checked the link above and have a free balcony and casino cash offer. September - December sailings.

I got this offer. Called 3 different Casino Royale numbers, twice. (888-859-0015, 866-578-3667 & 866-213-3116).  After the hold, the phone rings once, then the line goes dead. Tried to book through the website, entered the information, pushed “submit” and it goes to an almost blank page with only the word “successful” on it. No place to enter my credit card number for the port fees and taxes. Any more phone numbers, or suggestions?

They're sending them out in batches. There was over a 2 hour hold time last night.

For me the most interesting part was the timing.

 

Book by April 30 = highest time of uncertainty.

 

Sail from September to December = when we realistically think we will actually be sailing again.

when you redeem then on line, you will get an email that confirms and then you need to call within 24 hours of that email to pay the port fees.

 

I just redeemed my JS + $300 freeplay for September.  Got the same "success" screen, but I would expect an email shortly

No, because you gave the casino no action, no chance to win.

 

Not more money you gamble (actually gamble) to more the casino will reward you, whether you win or lose that particularly time. The casino wants to reward people that routinely give the casino a chance at the biggest amount of money because the casino knows it will win that money eventually.

Guess it doesn't like my number, I guess it's because we don't gamble much in the casino onboard. Any gambling we do is in Atlantic City that is about 45 minutes from our house.

I did the same thing, just 4 minutes on hold at 9 a.m., but only after I called every five minutes between 8 and 9 because the recording said they were closed and the hours are 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  I had no idea that today is Saturday 😂.   I booked the Harmony for early November.

Very interesting. I just had my TA call in to book this offer for me and the CR agent said that it cannot be booked through an agency.  I have never heard of that before. I have the booking on hold but my agent said that I will have to call in to pay or pay online.  Very strange.
