Living in the same household, this seems odd. I know a couple like this too. Husband got it. Fever, fatigue. Wife never had symptoms. She was later tested for antibodies. Does not have them. Perhaps it is a more common situation than we would expect, but who knows. 1

Sunshine3601 Posted December 2, 2020 #3305 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Here are today's kitty pictures before I head to work. Please excuse the mess but we discovered our new adoptees love boxes. Eva loves her window seat. Cory who I think will now be named Sparky could play all day with that smartykat toy.

They usually are in Aruba five times a year, ten days each trip. They have been afraid to go but it sounds like they have precautions I place. It's ridiculous how safe we felt in Aruba. More so than here in the states. Hand sanitizers everywhere, temp checks every restaurant or casino you enter or when returning to your hotel. As soon a someone got up from a chair, table, slot machine or beach loungers, there would an employee wiping every thing down. All employees required to wear masks both inside and outside. Guests were not, as we tested negative. Only when going to a casino or store outside the resort would we have to put on a mask. Other than the early closing time, the only other thing we missed was our favorite piano bar (similar at Schooner Bar) as bars that do not serve food are not allowed to be open. Overall, I would say this was about 85-90% of the Aruba experience we are used to. Be interesting to see if cruise lines can recreate 85-90% of the cruise experience once they resume with restrictions in place. 20 hours ago, maggieq said: Wow! Good for you! We cancelled our scheduled trip for September. Hope to go in April/May 2021. Love chill and Amstel bright! I don't blame you. Sept was when CV19 was at it's peak, with 1,600 active cases at once. The number dropped to about 80 when we arrived 3 weeks ago. 19 hours ago, Sunshine3601 said: Yes, test results are currently taking 3 to 5 days in my area so the 72 hour test would be a problem unless they let me quarantine on the beach until my email with results comes thru. You could get tested at the Aruba airport. You'll need to quarantine in your hotel room until the results arrive. Which typically takes 6-9 hours. Plenty of time to unpack, have room service and a short nap. If you choose that route, I would suggest try to isolate as much as possible 2 weeks prior, just to be safe. 19 hours ago, A&L_Ont said: Sadly we cancelled our stay there in January, due to the fact that we have to quarantine for 14 days post trip. Fortunately, we work from home so the 14 day quarantine is not an issue for us.

Thank you for all this information. Sure does sound like a great option. if you don't mind me asking, where are you staying? Sounds like getting a test there would be a lot quicker than trying to get one around here. We do have the option to work from home or wherever we have internet so quarantine before departure or even if needed when I get home would not be an issue for us.
