Sailaway Fans

For all of us that miss our sailaway threads with the current hold on cruising, there is some hope for us.  Today the Celebrity Apex is on the Fort Lauderdale camera as she docked earlier today.  No, it's not one of our blue hulled beauties, but it does give us some hope that cruising and our sailaways may resume some time in the future.  If nothing else it gives us time to think up proper insults for this ugly ship.  Some of us certainly enjoyed our shots at the Edge and the Apex appears to follow the same mold.   Just seeing a cruise ship in port though certainly gives us hope.

Oh, my!  She certainly leaves something to be desired, doesn't she?  Still nice to see a ship parked in Port Everglades.

Almost as ugly as Carnival's Mardi Gras..... But thanks for mentioning that it gives hope.

Just clicked on the Port Everglades web cam.  Nothing to be seen.  

 

I wonder why she has come "across the pond" at this time?  Maybe a hopeful sign?

For Miami, there have been ships there all summer long.  Ships in port are not a sign of anything other than loading supplies and fuel.  For some reason the ships have, until now, only been coming into Miami and not Port Everglades.  Tonight in Miami, there's MSC Seaside and Navigator of the Seas in port.

As far as Apex' looks, a wise man once said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder however, that begs the following question:

Is the Apex bow a bit different than the Edge's? The Apex looks almooost normal from that angle.

Does the Apex have a slightly different bow than the Edge? Apex looks almost normal from that angle.

Both  "parabolic ultrabows" are one and the same on both ships

She might be funny looking and have a weird name, but it's still a ship we get to see on the FLL webcam . . . yay!!

She may be ugly but at least she is a ship in Port Everglades and we get to see her sailaway. 😀
