IN CASE YOU ALSO MISSED IT YOU NEED TO DO YOUR COVID-19 VACCINE QUESTION IN YOUR CRUISE BOOKING Yes Bimini will be new to us. Love HMC See you on the ship coming down from Boston

Thanks from St Louis and good luck at anything not involving my Cards! (in case you’re a Red Sox fan).

Just glad that we know where we are going.  Bimini looks pretty and Half Moon Cay is a new port to this Platinum NCL cruiser. Excited to get my toes in the sand and a drink in my hand🍹

Yes HMC is awesome !! Great beach and lunch buffet behind the dunes. There is a ship (Bar) on the beach a little way down that servers drinks so bring your S & S card with you when you go for a walk.  See you onboard !!

Yes DW and i are on the Sept 12th Horizon sailing. True Cozumel was also replaced by Amber Cove. We did a great zip line tour in Amber Cove 3 yrs ago. Very much looking forward to this cruise. IN CASE YOU ALSO MISSED IT YOU NEED TO DO YOUR COVID-19 VACCINE QUESTION IN YOUR CRUISE BOOKING

YES we did the vaccination questions.  Did that when we switched cruise ships right away.

Coming down from Michigan.  See ya'll then!

wemjam, you and I think a lot alike but I gotta say you're in the wrong state.   🙂

It is amazing the varied points of views when you get a community of people together like this for sure, but it also demonstrates how you are not alone because there always seems to be others right there with ya - and if you are opened minded enough you often see things from a different perspective you never would have thought of yourself.

Didn't catch where you are?  Yep, Michigan girl born and raised here.  One of them there Northern Girls  as the Beach Boys would say 😜  Ok now I am showing my age too lol!

So Carnival changed our Horizon Sept Itinerary. They took away Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman and replaced with Bimini and Half Moon Cay. I am alright with the change as we Love HMC but never been to Bimini. Anyone been to Bimini that can give a couple of highlights please.

Very informative!  Thank you

Hoping they have diving for my husband as an excursion... he keeps telling me "that's where Bimini Road" is when we talk about excursions to do there.

Waiting to see what will open up in our ports for the Horizon Sept 12th, since they made the switch there are no excursions currently available yet

Whelp, I’m fresh off the Horizon and we made port in Bimini. There was about 10 excursions from Carnival. Ranging from beach chair rentals to deep sea fishing to more beach chair rentals. Honestly not a whole lot. Kinda what you’d expect to see at a beach type place. I don’t recall seeing diving though unfortunately.

Bummer.  He would have really enjoyed it, some place new!  And I would have been happy to just hang out on the ship and take a nap.  Thanks for heads up, I will tell him not to get his hopes up too high

Will be interested as more ships visit Bimini to hear the reviews. Its claim to fame over the years has been its proximity to Florida - the closest of the Bahamas to the continental US. Definitely not as developed for giant cruise ship visits as some other ports, but as noted, this seems to have come up as a surprise and there is potential to do more at a later time.

Enjoy it.

Try some local conch fritters. Make sure to try to sauce too.

If someone rents golf carts, that'd be the best way around. I got one when I stayed at the Resorts World Hilton there.

Casino is in there and some nice restaurants.
