I'm sorry if I double.post, I feel like my responses keep disappearing. For our sailing we were not about to book entertainment until onboard but once onboard, yes through the app. In fact a lot of things are through the app now, including the dining menus. It's come a long way since we last sailed. They also are charging $1.99 a day to message through the app which was free last time we sailed.

Yes to whomever asked about the show, it's Mama Mia.

They gave us Vax bracelets AND separate tracelets we are supposed to wear all the time. All buffets are manned. Trying to think of any other little things to share...oh 8 people max at a dinner table.  I wrote that before but I think it was in my post that didn't go through? Or I've taken advantage of my beverage package too much at this point to remember lol

Thank you so much.

Thanks for the great info.  I hope you continue to have a wonderful cruise!

That never crossed my mine about toiletries for the staff. I would love to do that, what should I put in the package?

We heard that they are appreciative of toiletries so we brought soap and toothpaste and deodorant and some candy. Our cabin attendant said absolutely everything is so helpful to them, even a pen.  He looked close to tears honestly.  It makes me want to get them more when we are at port.

Thanks again for providing us with such great info! Just a couple of ?'s from me. When did you get your pre-cruise Covid test? Thursday? Some are worried that Thursday is not an option for a Sunday cruise but I've read that it is ok. Also, what type will they now accept, PCR and/or rapid antigen?

Thanks so much!

Thursday is perfect for a Sunday sailing. Everyone in our group of 10 did it on Thursday! CVS rapid antigen results back in 15 min for us

Please ask what is needed, that would be very helpful.

I wrote up something about our first day and it didn't looks like it didn't post! Ugh! I'll try recap quickly. 1700 people onboard. Feels very empty in a good way. Staff very happy to have passengers and we brought our cabin attendant a care package of toiletries and he was SO moved. Highly recommend doing so if you can. Masks need to be worn in general spaces though it is so worth it to have a ship to yourself like this! Activities seems a little more limited than usually but I noticed they just added more to the planner so we'll see how the week progresses. We weren't able to book entertainment for this cruise pre-cruise and it seems to all be taken now so heads up to get on that. Casino was awesome on first night, no wait for tables.

Thank you so much for posting your experience!  Did you bring anything special for dining room wait staff or any other crew?  Would you mind posting the other cruise compass pages for day 2?

Also, are you aware of the process for Adventure Ocean?  Is there a limit on how much time children can go to Adventure Ocean (such as one session per day), or is open as usual?

We don't have any kids with us so we don't know any of those details, sorry! I don't know how to make thenpictures more clear for you all in here. They are so clear on my phone...I'll try the day 2 compass but no promises it will be any better!

We didn't bring anything for the other crew (should have!) but now are really going to try to get more at one of the ports!

It was open during the trial cruise.  I'm sure that it's open now.

The Diamond Lounge was closed on our Indy test cruise.🙁  They did invite some of us to do a test happy hour there one evening.

Do you have to wear your masks in

  • The Main Show Theater
  • The Casino

Thanks

As stated earlier by OP, no masks in casino....Main Theater I believe varies by show...and day.  Look at the dailies posted, a V means fully vaccinated, and no masks...or at least it did a week ago.

Thanks -- My husband will be very happy about no masks in Casino and we will only attend V shows.

Is PTC Dawg for Georgia Bulldogs.  Our daughter, son-in-law and almost all of his family graduated from UGA.  and we all are die-hard Dawgs fans including my grandsons.  Go Dawgs!!

Oh my! I would be so upset. We leave on Allure Sunday and booked our Covid test for Thursday. Ugh.

That should be right, same here for our 12th...booked Thursday test.  I wish they'd just tell you which day in an email so everyone gets it right!

As changes are coming swiftly, it is good to have resources like Cruise Critic and Facebook so I check threads and post questions.

Thank you so much for posting! We, too, are on the Sept 12 sailing on Allure. Mask question for you: masks are required inside when walking around, but what if you have a drink in your hand? No masks outside in CP and BW?

TIA! Glad to see flowrider is open!

We’re on the September 12 sailing. I’d love to see a show schedule if you can get one. I know there will probably be changes by the time we sail, but at least it would be a starting point. MDR menus would be appreciated, too!

Hope you have a great cruise!

Menus are on the app
