Nieuw Amsterdam will be making her penultimate visit to Alaska on Monday.  She will be at the AS dock from 1300-2200.

Also in port is Celebrity Millennium at the AJ dock from 1330-2200.

Once again the weather is not cooperating with a 100% chance of rain and a high of only 51F/10C.  The low will be 48F/9C,  Sunrise is at 6:39 am and sunset at 7:01 pm.

The Captain announced that we have just over 1300 passengers onboard now. We are experiencing some excellent service from the over 840 crew members.

Safely docked but I expect if onboard I would choose to stay onboard.  In addition to the last Juneau visit next Monday Nieuw Statendam is scheduled to be in Port Everglades.

Captain Albert, one of my go to Holland America references, Wrote years ago that sailing past the first week of September in Alaska was risky, weather wise.  From my experience, I agree.  Having been unlucky In Juneau, back in 2015, it was low 50's and heavy rain and sure not a good time.  My first Alaska cruise was the end of May with weather that was far better.

The weather was excellent when Sharon in AZ, Cruizer Diana and I were there!  We got lucky.  You guys have fun on your Panama Canal cruise!
