has anyone actually had their bid accepted in the last week before the embarkation date. There are still 8 cabins available in the Haven, 5 days to sail, am I still in with a shout or not?

Based on plenty of other posts, it is possible that you might still have a chance at being upgraded.  There are some people who have stated that they received their info within 24 hours of embarkation.  *** Watch your credit card for a "pending" charge of your bid amount!

Is it possible that those cabins just aren't going to be filled at all because of the reduced capacity/distancing?

It is to NCL advantage to fill the suites and Haven cabins to 100% - capacity and distance

not really a problem (lots of space in those cabins and haven facilities).

It would be the tightly condensed Inside Ocean View and Balcony cabins that would be

limited - curtailed occupancy.

Yes, it's still possible and we know this because a few years ago we boarded a plane and got the call.  Unfortunately it went to voicemail as I had already gone to airplane mode and didn't see that I had a message until the 2nd day of the cruise.😖

Monday before a weekend cruise is normally the day they process bids (that have not been previously approved). Most Haven upgrades are processed at that time (since they hold them for sale as long as possible). We have been upgraded to the Haven as late as Wednesday.

Totally true. Our Epic cruise a couple of weeks ago, the ship was 50% full but the Haven was completely full.

This is NCL best opportunity to get people who they see us potential Haven guests to actually pay for the Haven next time they cruise.

There was about 20 haven cabins still to be sold the week before but during that week, successful bids heard they won. So the last few days before sailing all haven cabins were sold out.

It is easier for NCL to sell a lower grade cabin cheaply than one of the premium ones if there were people looking for last minute deals. You would be happy to buy a balcony for £500pp for a week than try and and get a haven for £1800pp in the week before sailing. Unless of course you had the money beforehand

We are on the Epic right now, having boarded with a couple of hundred other folks at Civitavecchia.  Most pax board on Sunday at Barcelona, so it’s the Sunday to Sunday pax count that is most telling.  Last week it was 1855, or about 45%.  This week it’s 1615, or about 40%.  As best as we can tell, 100% of the Haven has been occupied both weeks.
