They raffled off two GS cabin last week.  I think was day two or three.

Before the new bookings shut down a few weeks ago, the CLS were barely booked...maybe 10%.  I gave up on my "Royal up" bid....cancelled GS, OS, and CLS bids yesterday afternoon while on board.  Sick of them waiting until well after sail away to officially send you the denial email.  😠

As of today, Harmony 1/16 still shows 22 Crown Lofts open for booking…

Are they still doing 4 people  (or more if it's a self-contained group) on the elevators? I try to stick to the stairs but it's more challenging on the bigger ships. I've observed once there is a critical mass of mask non-compliance it all goes out the window.

Royal up is doing RCI no favors.  Many missed opportunities for extra cash flow

Agree. On our recent NYE cruise, several friends canceled directly with RC 3-5 days prior to the sailing  (non-Covid emergencies). Their booked JS and GS cabins nearby ours were empty the entire cruise and the stateroom attendant happened to mention that the guests had canceled earlier in the week.

Not sure how this RoyalUp opp was missed as the ship definitely wasn't crowded (about 300 less guests than originally booked). Several guests mentioned they'd bidded on a suites upgrade but got the rejection email on day 2.

Guess there wasn't much interest in RoyalUp.

They are raffling 2 Crown Loft Suites this afternoon.

Just changed the raffle to tomorrow. That's stupid. Earlier the better

How are they raffling them off, do you have to buy a ticket, fill out a raffle ticket, or are all cabins entered in the raffle ? Thanks 😉

Nothing like having your own private yacht ha ORVILLE99.  If you are willing to jump through a few hoops right now and willing to accept a few bumps in the road it seems very rewarding.  Keep up the great posts and Thank You.

It does feel like that sometimes. This B2B is our fifth and sixth cruise since the restart, and we have three more booked in February and April. This week has about the same number of pax as the one we did in August, and that one was really quiet as well. I’m not sure how we will adapt once the ships start sailing full again.

In the casino it is one ticket for every 100 points you play, and at bingo it is based on how many cards you buy.

I'm on Harmony next week-- watching this thread closely.

Hey, Sherri,   let's see if we can Royal up to one of those CLS open.  Bid $) over what already paid.

And maybe we luck out and just skirt "maintenance week"  for the S Bistro.

Interesting.  Maybe the crew in quarantine was able to get back to their positions, and they didn’t need as many.

On Oasis, deck 6 is being used by crew for their 10 day quarantine, before going to work.

We did see one crew member smoking on one of the deck 6 balconies yesterday on Oasis, as we did the consecutive cruiser parade march off and on the ship.

Deck 3 on Harmony. Probably for guests.

I do recall deck 6 forward on Allure closed off back in October

Would that be hotel maintenance (i.e. back of house crew), or actual "maintenance" (deck and engine)?  While there is considerable leeway between actual crewing level in those departments, and the statutory requirements, if they are being hit hardest, it may lead to more cancelations, as marine crew is harder to come by, and can't be substituted by others like the hotel functions.

I'm guessing hotel side based on who I was chatting with

We re on Harmony and today was supposed to be a sea day. We are currently docked at Coco Cay alongside the Jewel, the Oasis is steaming directly towards us, and the Symphony is moored off our starboard side. Huh???

It is a sea day. Just a few hour detour.

Doesn't seem like a fair swap, if things continue like that, some more sailings might have to be cancelled.

I don't see it that way. The Jewel didn't have any available yet. The early residents will be off in less than a week.

BTW, Ship based quarantine for crew is 10 days

How are passengers doing relative to honoring the mask requirements? On recent cruises I have heard that this has been a problem, with crew trying hard, and lots of altercations between passengers who were militant about people wearing them, and correctly, and those who would not wear them correctly, if at all?

Fairly well, fairly uncrowded elevators as well

The gentleman doing the "live " on Allure has posted that the solarium restaurant is closed there as well this week.

Closed hete due to staff shortages and lack of passengers.  Hey, we still have the Jammer😉

Seems most passengers are in compliance. Same with elevators.

Bingo prize, I'd guess. Raffle wasn't a good description

Guess that was a good indication then just how many crew on Jewel were infected, kind of scary they could only give up so few? But I guess they will be giving afew more to some other ships in the area.

Is it just 10 days or do they  still need a negative test result to finally get back to work again?

It was four on the Mariner in November and six on the Allure in December.  Possibly trying to accommodate the higher occupancy rate on the Allure.

Someone from our sailing said they got a email that the solarium bistro is closed for the 01/23 sailing. I wonder what is going on.

I was told that solarium bistro is one of the venues that is often used to take pressure off of Windjammer. Because we have so few passengers, it is not necessary.  Same for Johnny Rockets breakfast.
