Was just wondering as I have not seen anyone reporting who is on now.

Any feedback welcome.

There are several very recent posts with real time reviews and pictures

Seeing unfavourable reports on another social media site    "Hi all, just taking time to report on what is a rather disappointing experience on Beyond. Spoke with lots of guests on the ship and most have the same feeling that they are underwhelmed. The crew are great, the staff try their best but the service is the worst we’ve had in 15 years of cruising. Food not that good in a couple of the main di if restaurants, and the Ocean Grill on deck 14 is poorly laid out. Factor in only 2000 guests on board when capacity is about 3500, and you can see how it’s not working out!
Given it’s the maiden voyage, we expected far more attention to detail, but it’s slow service, long waits to check in and get to a reserved table…. the niggles go on. Had a few chats to try and have constructive criticisms with the Managers, so let’s see how it goes from here.
Oh… my wife just back from Bacio - 3 Aquaclass  guests say never again on Celebrity  - feel it’s now overrated. Oh dear!
Stayed tuned!"

I really don’t see how anyone could be “underwhelmed” on Beyond!!

The ship is also an EVOLUTION of the previous two ships. While there remains naysayers of the E-Class I can't imagine the ship itself being the issue, sounds more like the staff hasn't 'gelled'. Some of the more problematic facility issues with the previous incarnations; not enough seating at the Martini Bar, underwhelming Sunset Bar, NOT enough bars and lounges, etc have been addressed on the Beyond.

If people couldn't complain, they'd have nothing to say.  There are staffing shortages everywhere, on sea and land. The OP is on an inaugural cruise and expected perfection. I hope he enjoys his 15 seconds of fame.

We were fervent Solstice Class lovers.  When we saw the plans for Edge we thought, not for us!!  That odd prow!  That jarring blue!!  That weird orange appendage!!  All the Hoppen hype!!  No Sky Lounge!!  No shade at the Sunset Bar!!

Well, friends convinced us to try it with them…we did primarily to see them.  We LOVED Edge!!!  So stunning!!  The four MDRs!!  A king size bed!!  Eden!!!

Now, we still love the S Class…they each have things we love.  I will say that our most recent sail on Edge last month…clearly they were understaffed for the capacity.  We had not had this problem on our previous sails on Edge since cruising recommenced.  I’m sure too that there are issues to be worked out on a new ship.  But I cannot believe “underwhelmed” as a description!!

This thread’s OP isn’t the one underwhelmed.  They were just asking for feedback from anyone actually sailing.

Staffing issues are in evident in almost all businesses.  A cruise ship is somewhat unique in that if crew get Ill you can’t just call someone at home to cover their shift.

Increased occupancy, the faster spreading Covid variant and no masking seems to have resulted in more Covid cases, both passengers and crew.  That has a impact on service.  We disembarked last week and had our a butler disappear mid cruise, our favorite bartender, Luminae hostess and Sommelier also gone.  No one will say they are in quarantine, but we all knew they were.
We are booked on the Beyond in October and can’t wait to see what that iteration of the E class looks like,  🤞that Covid will not be as much of a factor and staff won’t  be stretched so thin.

I am surprised there aren't more live updates, pictures, videos,  etc... A very, very small sampling so far...even when I search online.

I would like to see a complete walk through.  Usually there are so many, but not yet for the Beyond.  I honestly thought there was going to be a vast array to view.

I'll be on in October but I always like to watch videos and see pictures beforehand.  😉

Hello

We are on the Beyond right now, in an SV cabin.

I’ll start by saying this is a very beautiful ship. Very contemporary styling, like a very upmarket boutique hotel. We’ve not previously cruised on Edge class and we’re enjoying the feel of the ship.

This is the inaugural sailing so there are going to be teething problems - we’re seeing maintenance crew much in evidence in the corridors - and it’s clear there are staffing shortfalls in the restaurants. Service in the four MDRs was poor on the first four nights but they seem to be hitting their stride now. We made reservations for every night in the four different MDRs but you still end up queueing anyway and I’ve seen other diners complaining loudly about this. I’m sure this will get sorted fairly soon though.

The rooftop garden is a good addition and a much better use of all that space on the top deck. The Sunset bar is great and there is plenty of shade if you need it. Lots of space on the pool deck and we’ve not noticed too many chair hogs, although we’ve not had the weather yet for lying out in the sun.

We do miss the Sky lounge, we used to enjoy heading up there after dinner for the late night entertainment - the Club on deck 4 doesn’t have the same vibe but it might do in time. The Martini Bar in the Grand Plaza is the main hub in the evening, and the bartenders put on a good show!

All in all the plus points outweigh what we’re missing from the Silhouette (our favourite ship to date) and we’d definitely consider another cruise on the Beyond in the future.

How is you SV cabin. We have one on deck 12 for September, it was the only SV that was available.

Which deck are you on?

We are hoping deck 12 won't be too noisy with the outside area of ocean view above us!

We’re on deck 10, we haven’t noticed any noise from above, but you might get some chairs scraping if you’re right under the Oceanview.
We always choose an SV if they are available, and on the Edge class it means you get an actual veranda and not the infinite veranda version.
We have noticed it feels like a much longer walk back to our cabin from the elevators - the ship is definitely longer!

Given that this site sees mostly US users and the maiden is from the UK may have a bit to do with it. But there are plenty of YouTube videos and ton of content on Instagram. Just search #CelebrityBeyond. There are several Facebook groups and posts with lots of photos and video as well.

I thought that might be the case, that it's not in the USA yet.

Thanks!

I have seen and read this.  But I think that was mainly from the pre inaugural 4 day trip.  Would like some feedback from passengers on the inaugural which sails from 27 April to 7 May.

Unfortunately Celebrity continues to make the balconies even more uncomfortable. The furniture in this photo is ridiculous. There should be two loungers without having to ask.

If you're on your veranda, you're not on the casino or spending money with Park West!
