The dry dock dates are listed on GoCCL https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1537/~/carnival-pride-(pr)-fact-sheet

No details as to what they'll be doing. All the ships they've drydocked since the restart have had very little done, mostly just the new livery and that's it. They're not even replacing stained/worn carpeting or varnishing the outdoor rails.

All those drydocks were only around two weeks.  The April one is scheduled for four weeks.  Hope they fix all the complaints because we are on the first cruise in May out of drydock.

We will be on the same cruise.  I hope they are able to finish everything they start, and not have to delay the start of our cruise, like they did on the Miracle 17-day Panama Canal cruise that was supposed to start on 3/2/20.  That one was shortened to 14 days departing on 3/5/20 because of a scheduled drydock over run, but then ended up getting shortened by another day at the end due to covid.

This is going to be a replacement cruise for one we had to cancel this year, so really looking foreword to it.  The same cruise on May 29, 22 now May 28, 23.

Just wondering where that Panama canal cruise was from and to if it wasn't a round trip.

We did a Panama Canal Cruise from Ft Lauderdale to Vancouver. You could also go Ft Lauderdale to San Francisco or  Los Angeles.

From Miami, not a round trip.  Was supposed to be Miami; Cartagena, Colombia;  Panama Canal Transit; Puntarenas, Costa Rica;  Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala;  Cabo San Lucas, Mexico;  ending in San Francisco, CA

By day 11 due to covid worries (none that we know of on the ship), we found out that Cobo and San Francisco had refused to let us stop.  Finally, the San Pedro port authority allowed us to dock and disembark there.  It was a great trip until the last few days, when nobody could tell us when or where we were going.  It was one of the last ships still at sea when everything shut down.  It was really strange, watching all the panic on the news, with what seemed like everything in the country had shut down while everything was going on like nothing had changed on the ship.

No details but she's in there for a full month.  It'll be more than the new paint scheme and a few public area carpets.  Ships don't sit in dry dock costing money when they could be sailing making money unless real work is taking place.

Now new features? Probably not.  My recollection is that Pride is already a 'fully featured' Spirit class.  But it will be interesting if this even approaches a mini 'Sunshining'.  Those typically take two months. Back in the day 2.0 upgrades took about a month and were quite extensive. With those done a few years back, personally my guess would be a meaningful cabin refresh. Not particularly sexy but getting necessary on these 20 year old ships. The difference between a Sunrise cabin and a Pride cabin are pretty significant.

Sunshining the Pride would mostly mean taking out lounges for more staterooms. The vinyl veneer they glued to the panels in the existing staterooms of the Sunshine or Sunrise doesn't take particularly long to do.

Based on her current horrendous condition the more weeks in drydock the better! I love the Spirit class of ship and the crew on the Pride was wonderful but she was looking awful. Glad she is finally going to be getting some much needed TLC.

I wouldn't think they'll add any staterooms or do anything major. And I'm only guessing about staterooms but if one does new wall vinyl veneer, new wood cabinetry and TVs etc in all the cabins I could envision a month being necessary. Time will obviously tell.

When were you on her Ohio?  I've seen all those reports too but we were on her 9 months ago and she mostly seemed okay to me.  Maybe I just didn't see it.  No doubt one of my very favorite ships to date.

My last time was the TA in May. I wasn't even sure I would trust the lifeboats lol! Even inside my bathroom in my cabin the frame was all rusted out. Crew was great the ship's condition was not.

Absolutely nothing wrong with those lifeboats that a coat of gel-coat restorer can't fix.  That's what happens when fiberglass is subjected to intense sunlight for over 20 years.

They added a deck to Elation in a month and in another drydock they removed the aft lounge and added more staterooms, so a month is enough time to get a lot done.

Oh, were you the one that started that thread that she was an old piece of junk?  Yeah, I remember that one.  Very much looking forward to our month onboard her over the next year.

Nope that wasn't me. I'm considering booking her 12 day August sailing out of Dover next month. I still had a great time onboard. Hopefully the old neglected girl gets a nice makeover next year. Love that class of ship. She has some wonderful crew that I'm sure will give you a great experience.

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything new on the dry dock for Pride?  I tried searching with no luck on what they are going to be doing.

The May 28th cruise is back on the website with quite a few rooms available. They have also added a bunch more excursions.  So, I feel confident that it is a "go."

I have not heard what they are doing, but I am hoping for some cabin updates.  They need to at least fix some of the plumbing/hot water issues.  It would be cool if they added a non-smoking casino, too, like they did on the Breeze, Dream, etc.

Just got off her 2/12.  A little rusty on outside,  i need of fixing that which will take time.  Inside is ok, its an old ship.  Its such an ornate ship,  any type of remodeling would be difficult.  My guess is corrosion repair,  engineering stuff and some interior refreshes.

We were on the Price twice in 2022, first on the Transatlantic Oct 30 - Nov 12 and again for the Panama Canal in December.  I will admit she can use some sprucing up but for the most part she is a beautiful ship. I hope they don't take away any of the bars or public spaces to add more cabins.  I think she is great just the size she is. Wish they would put some in larger flat screen TVs in the cabins.  Looking forward to seeing her shine the end of May.
