Good evening!  Thanks to everyone for sharing today and to Rich @richwmn for the Daily.

Today is our favorite Granddaughter’s Birthday (well, yes, she’s also our only granddaughter). She’s grown up so much. Tomorrow we are going out for family dinner to celebrate. It’ll be fun.

Hugs to you Jacqui @kazu. ❤️❤️❤️  So sorry about your fridge, what a mess. Little Shadow has come a long way.

Sandi @StLouisCruisers — safe travels tomorrow. Also, for some odd reason, I couldn’t like your first post, I kept getting an error message. I was able to like others, just not that one. Weird.

I watched Seth on FB this morning previewing his Sail with Seth cruises. It’s long so I’m not suggesting everyone watch it but it’s interesting that he will be on different cruise lines and even HAL.  He even has a Cunard and a Carnival. What a spectrum.  I would love to do one but it’ll have to wait a while since we have other cruise plans for now.

Have a great evening!

I mostly agree.  For me, the Promenade deck was always a place for walking (Crystal never had loungers on the promenade deck) but I always found ample space to walk whether the chairs were fully public or assigned to cabins,  I hadn't remembered if the Amsterdam ever got Lanai cabins but I think the Rotterdam had them even on my first modern HAL cruise in 2011.

Hi all!  It was actually me who posted the question on the Crystal forum asking if anyone thought the Lanai concept would be a good idea for a hypothetical change on the "New Crystal" (now owned by Abercrombie and Kent/Heritage).  I just wanted to throw something out there for discussion's sake, but it ended up getting at least the one snarky comment!  After some very thoughtful posts about the logistical nightmare it  would be on Symphony and Serenity, I realized it didn't make sense either.

As Roy said, it has always surprised me when people who have not sailed a line give such uniformed and nasty comments!  Who is "John Cruise" ???  I can ignore him easily!

I loved all of my cruises on old Crystal and honestly found the other passengers to be wonderful, fun and interesting cruise companions! (True there were the occasional strange people, but you can easily avoid them if you want!)  I don't think that I am the demographic that some people picture when they think about Crystal Cruises but I'm a person who loves the sea, great food, entertainment and service.  Some of the same reasons I enjoy HAL....just different!

Happy cruising to everyone,

~Nancy

@HAL Sailer  about Graham's food porn pictures.....  @grapau27secretly works for the British tourism cabinet-first he sells chocolate, and then he posts food porn so that we all want to go to England.  Tourism there has tripled by hungry Americans and Canadians recently....

@StLouisCruisersSafe travels tomorrow and have a wonderful time with the family.

Hugs to you all today and all ways.  Did I miss pictures of Shadow aka Little today?  It has been a day....

There are so many lovely places to visit in the UK.

Graham.

Thanks ♥️

My toe is still protected but from my limited knowledge from DH it is nearly healed -it’s just sensive until another layer of skin comes in.

@kazu Thank you for your reply, hopefully it will be completely healed very soon.

It's been a while since I've posted---enjoyed a Cabo Family trip (all 9 of us)...great weather, too.

🚶‍♂️My husband and I really enjoyed our time in the lanai cabins while on the Volendam and Maasdam. He likes walking the deck in the early morning ......👍so convenient.  Just sayin'.

Hope everyone on the board is fine. 😊Have a good afternoon!

Katie

@grapau27 Each time you post a picture of fish & chips with a side of mushy peas I want to hop on a flight to England!

@Horizon chaser 1957 Great advice!

@rafinmd Thanks for the info on John Cruise. I'll put him on ignore!

@AncientWanderer Thanks for the Havana cabana pictures. I had been trying to visualize it from descriptions. Not sure it's my cup of tea!

Thank you.

Good morning.

It is 52°F and sunny here this morning.

Breakfast this morning.

Graham.

I’m sorry.

I had multi quotes ready to do last night and just didn’t have the strength last night or today.  In fact, I crashed last night.

@Seasick Sailor -yes I  had to acknowledge the post on the Future Cruise Listing.

I hope I have the energy tomorrow -otherwise it will be Saturday.  I am just plain exhausted and accomplishing nothing.  Other than Little Shadow.

I guess I can’t handle stress well.  Yesterday I was on the phone for forever on hold with Aeroplan after they changed my flight again and I now had a 13 hour connection time. No thanks.

My fridge was making funny noises  - cleaned out the freezer - tried to clean as best I could and the noise.stopped. But, I know it’s too warm so I have been making a multitude of trips downstairs ( the cheapo fridge that is still working)

A new fridge is ordered but will won’t get her until Tuesday and it’s local and my trusted appliance place.  Going to be a a long few days walking down those stairs and back.

I am just done with problems in this house since Jose died. It seems like everything is caving in.

But never fear, Little Shadow doesn’t know that;  She’s a happy camper other than “IN” and now nipping because she wants to play.  She’s definitely come out of her shell.  She has met my dogs’ 2nd mother and was enchanted with her in a very few minute and nuzzling her in 15.  She has really come around so far.  I would say she is out of her shell.

It’s hard to get pics of her though because of the way she prances and jumps

In any case if I am not on tomorrow, no worries. I just feel badly I couldn’t; even acknowledge the posts I wanted to.  Have a great night all.   This stuff used to be a piece of cake.  Now it’s not.

I feel badly I didn’t do the posts I wanted to last night but for some reason any stress overwhelms me because I have no one to talk to about the options and I instinctly reach out my soul mate that isn’t here.

Sorry for the pity party.  I’ll be back when I can keep up.

Take care.

My doctor advised me to take a deep breath and hold my breath for 10 seconds and repeat several times.

It slows the heart rate and usually takes most stress (adrenaline) away.

Graham.

Great post Nancy.

We have never been on Crystal or HAL so would never comment directly about them.

We have vast knowledge on P&O,Princess and Royal Caribbean ships and will always give personal advice on those if it was to help others.

I don't see that bacon in the USA but enjoy it on Cunard.

Roy

Full English or Scottish breakfast is available everywhere sometimes all day here in England or Scotland Roy.

A great reason to come to the UK as well as to see The Scottish Highlands, Northumberland coastline,The Lake District,The Cotswolds, Cornwall or even London.

Graham.
