We’ve got B2B cruises booked in Jan/Feb, and have got an extra £150 for the 2weeks and £100 for the week long. Since we got £780 and £390 on booking with the offer a few weeks ago, we might be struggling to spend it all! We’ve also got shareholder inc too.

This will be our first cruise since Jan 2020 when we booked on board for Iona for Jan 21. We’ve booked virtually the same cruise in the same cabin and although the headline figure per night was higher, the net cost per night with all the extra OBC - even without the extra today- is slightly lower.

We're on Britannia this weekend and were given £150 extra per cabin back in May; even the kids who were on the saver rate.  The email said, "As a heartfelt welcome back on board, we're giving you..."

We're on Arvia in January and got the email today; were given £200 extra.  This time the email said, "As a thank you for booking with us, we're giving you..."

I'm not sure exactly what the motive is, but think it may have something to do with P&O trying to create parity between old and new fares.  A few weeks ago I checked fares for our Britannia cruise and they were the same price as we paid in 2020 when we booked; one would have expected them to have gone up a fair bit.   The fares for our Arvia cruise have gone up several hundred pounds, but the huge OBC they were giving away recently for new bookings means in real terms the price is similar to what we paid when we booked last year.

We're booked on Iona next June, so here's hoping.😉

I’m getting ‘up to £150’ too.  Anyone know what the ‘up to ….’ Is about?  Could be £50 but you won’t know until you board - that right?

The up to refers to the maximum amount per cabin; if it is quoted at up to £150, then the first two guests get £75 each.  So, two people in a cabin get a total of £150.  Four in a cabin get a total of £150. A guest in a single cabin gets £75.

We got our e-mail saying up to £100 each, as we were an inside saver we were expecting the bottom end of that range but were pleasantly surprised to get a new invoice a few days later with an extra £100 each OBC. That cruise is currently £550 pp more than when we booked in 2021.

If I were cruising with you I would help you spend it! 😆

It's a pity you can no longer launder it through the casino. 😉

I assume that final payment is imminent on all these upcoming cruises, so that explains P&O's largess; they don't want you cancelling and wrecking their cash flow.

Not ours. Not until March next year and it's virtually paid for with fcc

Surely you don't expect P&Os IT system to be able to identify when a booking is fully paid!!!😉

Don't be a cynic 🙂 I'm just accepting it as a nice gesture

Doesn't apply to us; both cruises for which we were given extra OBC were paid off many months beforehand.

But did you pay earlier than necessary?

The P&O IT system is not sufficiently advanced  to differentiate between thise who have paid, and thise who haven't.

Had the email yesterday for extra £150 OBC for our Azura cruise in March 2023, with final payment not until 17th December 2022.

Very nice to have.

I currently have 3 P&O cruises booked for next year, I have £200 obc for the first, £150 for the second and nothing for the third.

Puzzled ???

I think they are working their way through the months, we got extra OBC for our November cruise a few months ago and just got it for our January cruise. Haha I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the one later in the year. But perhaps in the future summer months they might have enough bookings anyway and we won’t need persuading not to cancel.

Just editing as I notice some people have it for March already so may happen for later.
🤞🤞

We got the email a month or so ago for our November cruise on iona. We still haven't received a new invoice showing the increased OBC tho. I rang a few weeks ago and they said we would get one and they were working in cruise order. Has anyone else got theirs for November yet?

The latest offer does state that an updated booking confirmation will not be sent.  However, after I have paid the balance it should show up on the updated confirmation.
