Arrival time for Yacht Club

Copy and paste.

Anyone booking a Yacht Club cabin can show up for priority check in at any time.(The YC porter  gets to the tent at 9am, the shoreside 'butlers' around 9:30 and terminal opens at 10 am and finally the security doesn't start til 10:30 and one will be standing around until passing through security). Usually when the terminal opens.  At the white tent, sometimes with blue flags out front of the terminal.

Third, all Yacht Club passengers will receive priority embarkation when the ship clears and will follow the B2B passengers onto the ship before general population.

If you are in Yacht Club do not show up at 3:30. Show up as early as you comfortably can. Firstly, you are throwing away 1/2 of your embarkation day. Secondly, most of the shoreside Yacht Club butlers are starting to re-board; and the YC checkin area may be standing down. We arrived a little late one cruise (not by choice) and the shore side YC experience was definitely winding down.

Here is another copy and paste.

Terminal opened at 10 am. Yacht Club guests wait under or close to white tent in front of terminal for YC escort to SOMETIMES separate security screening. If only one screening machine YC group will be escorted to the front of the line. Up elevator to separate check-in room, then escorted to waiting lounge. Boarding not till the ship rounds up all the "zeros" (those that have late flights and hide out on the ship). B2Bers will not be 'processed' (facial recognition) and allowed back on the ship until the "zeros" have been found and processed. Once the B2Bers are lead back on they are followed by Yacht Clubbers and then everyone else in the terminal. This began around 11:30. We were B2B (about 100 of us) waiting in line to be processed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) when a butler pointed out the "zeros" that were taking their 'sweet time' collecting the last of the remaining luggage and strolling over to the facial recognition machines. Always get this bunch of 'losers' every cruise.

There is always a small group of inconsiderate passengers that have late flights or just no place to go after the cruise has ended. They dilly-dally and hold up the ship from "clearing" for the next cruise group to embark. These "losers" are called "Zeros". They are the stragglers that sometimes hide out and often the sheriffs office is called in to escort them off the ship.

Our cruise in October has a 7pm departure for the ship.  When does check in start for YC for a later departure?  Our last Meraviglia trip departed at 3 and we were on board before 11am.

The better question is when does the ship arrive in port?

Some of the details above differ from US to Europe and even from FL to NY.  For Port Canaveral (we drive in) we generally get to the port garage about 9:30 - park - check with the white tent - escorted through security to the YC terminal lounge for the actual check-in, then escorted aboard.  Generally in the TS lounge by 10:30/10:45. YMMV.

Most likely yes.

I said "most likely" because we don't know anything about the departure time or when the ship will arrive in port. The ship may arrive after lunch and then I think it's too early to arrive before noon.

Most of the advice I see regarding Yacht Club arrival times pertains to U.S. sailings where the entire ship must be cleared before boarding can begin.  Does anyone know how this works in Europe, specifically Copenhagen, where only a portion of the ship is changing over?  I have a 1 PM arrival time but intend to drop my luggage off by 10 AM.  Would I be allowed to board the ship immediately or have to come back later?

We boarded in Genoa recently, the ship had docked around 7am, we got there about 10:15 just as they were starting up the YC tent, had about a 30 min wait inside in a small lounge area where we were checked in, then we were escorted onboard and our cabin was ready.

Assuming your ship docks at a similar time, you may find them not quite ready for you at 10am, but you should be able to board soon after.

Do you do a bag drop before you park?   Can you do that in Port Canaveral?

We saw a couple of folks do that, but when they use Terminal 10, there is convenient parking just across the street.  The drop-off area is crowded, and the line moves slowly.

I've done both. You can drop bags then go park or you can park and bring your luggage across the street.

Is MSC usually out of terminal 10?   We are on the Seashore in January
